Sprint Touch Cube Configuration Tool v4.1
Ok, I think this one is gonna need a sticky. I got sick of having to type in all of the shortcuts in the registry editor to change the cube, so I wrote this little spiffy app. It allows you to customize the 2 sides of the cube with shortcuts. Just make sure you know what you are doing as far as what can go where. Enjoy!

Version 1.1 - I got tired of waiting for the file browser to refresh everytime. Now you only have to wait for the first time, after that it is cached.

Version 1.2 - Added IconPress to the 6-App Side, and IconPlaying, IconPlayingPress, and IconPress to the 3-App side.

Version 2.0 - Added param for 6-App Side and 3-App Side. Added links to animation files. Added GUI for app selection for 3-App side and 6-App side.

Version 2.1 - Squashed the bugs that were coming up. Sorry I didn't test it enough before releasing.

Version 3.0 - Now supports multiple 6-App sides (See Polen's Vista Cube)!! Added reset to defaults. Automatic shortcut selector or browse for apps. Fixed the bug where the Program Files directory wasn't showing up in the Browse tree.

Version 4.0 - Added support for the iCube , animation configuring for newly added sides, export settings to .reg file, and icon image preview*.

*The icon image preview must be set up correctly to work. It all depends on the naming convention used. Polen's icon packs work with the preview. Since the .brn files cannot be rendered, a .bmp file must be placed in the directory with the .brn having the same filename or following Polen's naming convention (ex. ie.bmp -> ie_top.brn, ie_top_press.brn).

I tried testing it with the stock cube, Polen's 6 sided cube, and the iCube, but may not have caught everything, so if you find a bug, let me know!

SORRY!!! I left out a file from the .cab, it's all fixed now! Enjoy!

Version 4.1 - Fixed a bug in the export settings and the Save button was getting disabled.

Hey Dash,

Is this program safe to use or is it still pretty easy to brick the phone? I would like to change the appearance of my cube but don't want to brick it. Thanks bro

this one is totally safe to use and it makes it real easy to change your sides and all it wont brick your phone so go ahead and download it... hope you like it i know i do

When I click on the word or excel icons (to name a couple) on the cube, I get a message that says.......

The file " cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

I'm trying to use config 4.1 to fix, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

What am I doing right?

figured it out....that's what I get for posting before I drink my coffee.....

need to soft reset after reselecting path..... Work great now!!!

YO Dash, can you upload this on megaupload. Im having problems with rapidshare these last 3 days. After I select free, it tells me to add the 4 digits they give me but they give me 6 or 5 and it wont read all of them.

where im at right now (work) they are blocked so i cant. but the new way they do it looks different just make sure that you are reading across closely. there si no way with the hack involved to have 6 when the limit is four. it is just impossible.

I dont know, thats what it tells me. It says add the 4 characters with the cats. Check on top and there is 6 vcharacters.

it doesnt let me upload a small pic I took. It says "Exceeds your quota by 15.4 KB" I already resized it. Anyway, yeah I still get 6 # in rapidshare. WIERD

ayyyy yehh. i was having the same problem about having to only putting 4 characters and the picture had 6 letters... but I looked closely and noticed that Not ALL the Letters had CATS beside them, there are actually some letters with DOGS.. so i typed in the Letters that looked only as cats, and BOOM.. it worked!! i feel so proud of myself!!.. haha. Hope this helps Guys

trying to figure out if this app will allow me just to add another page of Contacts and just get rid of the Alltel stuff that comes with the standard HTC Cube? Any help would be great

Hi,

I loaded the config4.1 for the cube on my mogul with 6.1. It works great on almost everything. The only problem I am having is that on the 3 side the music button at the top. It gives me the same message one of the others posted about not having a signed cerificate or it can't find the path. I tried soft reseting and I tried hard resetting. Don't know why it won't change it. I am trying to put in the wmedia.exe file. it works on the 6 side button, but when I put in the same path on the 3 side at top. the music button. it just gives me the same error message. Thanks for any help you can give me.

due to registry changes in WM 6.1 you will not be able to change that side of the cube and the developer hasnt made a new version for this in months which makes me believe that he is done with the project.

Shouldn't the button left as is bring up a music directory or player.

what button and yes it will bring it up on the stock cube as long as you havent changed the path.

I asked the question about changing the music direction to windows media. I found I could do it if I used the Ftouchflo configuration tool. Now every button is working perfectly. Thanks again for developing tool. Do you have a donation area? I would like to support your work.

Hi Dash,

Wanted to let you know that I was able to change the music short cut to music to media player using the ftouchflo configuration tool. Hope this helps. All buttons are working perfectly on my mogul 6.1. Thanks again. Is there a place I can donate to you. I would like to support your efforts. Great job. Makes life fun and easier.

ok i just got my touch so idk really wat im doin. i downloaded the 6 side cube and i went to cube config tool what do i do next to get the 6 sides to show up? if sumone could tell me id really appreciate it

what do you mean??? this changes the shortcuts...... to pull it up you just swipe your finger from the bottom of the screen to the top like the stock.

change the pictures throughg what? the icons on your touchflo cube or what? and have you thought about gettign the best out of your phone and loosing the cube and going to nfsfans wm 6.5 rom? trust me you iwll love it and you will have not only titanium built in but also touchflo2d and stability and speed :)

ok i'm sorry... lol.. so ummm... describe the features of changing the rom... i just added a bunch of things to my phone like "HHC" and 6 tab... will anything change with that rom???... so wats are the advantages and disadvantages for changin the rom????? help !!! btw thanks for replying though lol... HELPP!!!!

Changing the rom with make your phone run way smoother an will add features that your phone didnt have before. You think that you like the Cube on your phone wait till you flash a new rom out today for the Touch an see some of things that you can do lol. Take a look on how to flash a rom real easy.
