This is the thread for nueROM-V, based on WM 6.1 Official Release.

NOTE: This is beta quality software. WM6.1 isn't as cool as some people make it out to be, and pretty much the only really interesting feature in threaded SMS. Still, if you would like to take a look, flash on ahead. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. FLASHING THIS ROM MAY/WILL RUIN YOUR DEVICE.

Use baseKit-V 107 to insert files into your kitchen, packages I build into rom are located in packages. Windows live is provided in SYS_OPTIONAL if you use windows live. IMPORTANT! You must download the regular rom too and extract os.nb from the nbh to build or else you will be using the wrong XIP!

I will not be able to support this rom as fully as my titan rom because I don't have a vogue. Therefore, I have never tested this rom myself. However, some people claim it does work...

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection EDIT: OmegaX posted a fix - misspell gmail and fix it later.

hey man i didnt know where to write this but, if I installed this rev a to my touch would it clear my phone out completely. like doing a hard reset and having to install all my other programs? and i cant find the thread where people talk about there experience? thanks

How exactly do i install this rom??

I run the Unlocker, then i extracted the .nbh file and dropped it in the extracted RUU folder, which exe program do i run? after the unlocker, do i run the ROMUpdateUtility?? Cuz there is Enterboot loader, Launch PPST, Rapitool, RUUGetinfo, and GetDevice Data? I'm assuming you just run the ROM Update Utility.

Where can i download the regular rom?

Do i need the os.nb file as well so that i have the correct build??? or will it be the wrong XIP?

Just confused on exactly how to install.

yes it will clear out the phone completely so back up your contacts andother important info.

wow run the only one that works which is the rom update utility exe file after droping the nbh in there. the regular rom you mean the stock one go to htc.com or here we have it if you mean the 6.1 rom it is in the first post.
just those steps i gave you... you need nothing else.

I run the unlocker and it runs the utility for me, i run the utility program and i dropped the NBH file in the ruu folder, it says when i click upgrade to "NO2CHEM.WM61.VG1" thats the file it says to upgrade. I do that and it upgrades and says its complete i and the phone works fine with WM6.1 but the rom version says its version 1.12.651.1 and date was 9/18/07. If you go to about, it says its WM6.1 i don't know what im doing wrong, after it completes the flash the phone restarts do i need to do the relocker?

no you dont but why does it matte if thats what it sasy if it works fine. i myself havent dont the touch flash to this rom since i sold my cdma version of it and thats what this is good for..... so it might be the number for that. if it works and says 6.1 leave it alone. can someone else with a touch flash to this verify the rom numbers??? Im lost im not sure what i've done wrong i followed it step by step the phone completes the rom update then restarts itself and boots up into windows mobile. In the About screen it says 6.1 and it has the new Text messaging deal, but it still says the old rom version im not sure why??

prolly a hiccupp dont matter bro it works fine and all so its not going to effect the way that the phone works.

Ok i just didn't know why my GPS couldn't locate satellites like in google maps? It said searching but it says (0). Do i have to set the GPS program to any specific port?

the first time ytakes a long time and you have to be in clear view of the satelittes meaning going outsode for the first time and than within 10 minites it will pick them up.... after that i finds them within 5 seconds.

There are two settings where you have to set the com ports..

The first is GPS Program Port

The second setting is GPS Hardware Port

What are each of the settings That you have both cannot have the same port.

Im just trying to help figure this out for ALL Wckediden users! That way we can get it figured out.

mine worked fine without changing them at all thats why i dont understand why you are changing them. the first time to connect takes but a long time lie 10 minutes and you HAVE to be outside to get it to read.

Yea thats how i have it setup but i beginning to wonder if it flashes to WM6.1 but it doesn't upgrade the rom because my ROM version and Date are old, i dunno if its different for the Mogul than the touch but the ROM version is the same one as i believe i had before. I am wondering if anyone else has a Touch with WM 6.1 Rev A with working GPS. Like when you flashed your mogul it said the ROM date was 12/05/07 and my Touch still says 9/18/07 rom date and Version 1.12.651.1 your rom version is: 3.16.651.1

Where you talk about setting it up for the mogul is the setup the same for the touch or are the files different?? If your on AIM i can talk to you on there or im me at switch6902

I believe its upgrading to WM6.1 but it's not REV A for the Touch, my speeds are not really much fast that i can tell so?? What you think?

they both ahve to be unlocked bootloader wise with different tools but the roms are different since they are made for completely different phones.

Oh ok i c, i think for the Touch its just getting WM6.1 and not acutally REV A cuz the rom isn't changing its just the operating software.... So i am curious if anyone has a touch thats GPS works as well as REV A because i think its just upgrading to WM 6.1 and not actually the rom REV a part.

LOL I knew something wasn't right we'll i guinea pig'ed it for Wckediden lol about 4 hrs of scratchin my head lol and i flashed it probably 6 times haha, i just tried to figure it out but i knew something was up. Haha well at least i got the new cool text messaging haha later keep me posted if you get it figured out.

As we've just discovered, this rom update was just to upgrade to WM 6.1 and not Rev a. I have been doing the same as stealth twin turbo and although I have it close to what it was when I had the OEM ROM, there are still functions that don't work (i.e. On demand, etc) Do you either know how I can redirect the link from the OEM touch flo cube or initiate the program so that it ends up where the link is looking so that I don't get an error message? When I sign onto http://powerdeck.sprint.com from the phone it also no longer recognizes that its an HTC touch 6900. Any ideas how I can remedy that?

on demand should work unlock the external rom bro than install the cab..... and for the id thing for that call sprint and they should be able to fix that for you.

i've been kind of annoyed at all the bugs that this beta ROM has, so I tried looking around the net and I found an OEM Sprint Touch ROM. I've tried it and it seems to be back to normal. (finally) I've attached the ROM for everyone who's tried this beta and finds out that it isn't what they wanted.

I'm new to all this rom modding (and it doesn't really sound that benifitial, I can do without threaded sms) Would it be possible for me to run the "rev a" on my bell htc vouge? Would there be any drawbacks? Do you know if he Rev a has improved speeds over my network?

I was also wondering if this unlock the gps for the touch/vougue (It can't search gps because its only 3 letters) I'm very interested in gps if I can rig it to tell me my top speed when speedboarding.

yeah you will be able to run it with the sprint rom. you will need to get the rom unlocker found at the site and unlock your phone and flash it over. there is a area here where they have verision for all different providers do a search for reva and you will find it. and yes rev a will increase your net speed and enable the gps on your phone.

When is the projected release date for the sprint REV A rom?
In order to benifit from the REV A patch will I need to be in range of the sprint network or will it increase speeds for the bell touch on all networks that it runs on (most importantly the bell net which is Ev-Do)?

not sure keeps on getting pushed back. it was supposed t be the 28th of last month now they are talking march. but on the htc site it says Q1 2008 so sometimes in the next 2 months.

What I'm really asking is if it will run faster in canada where bell has many towers and sprint has none? Bel is an Ev-do network.

you would need to be around the sprint towers or any other tower that supports the rev a evdo. thats the way i understand it at least. im a sprint subscriber so i dont have to worry. lol

there waiting for the official to drop since there are differences. if you notice all the rev a roms that are coming out are for phoen with wifi and that makes it hard since the touch lacks the wifi.

alright so u told me to post on threads my problem being that u posted it i figured u would know but to whoever out there that might please help im new to this im stuck on the boot loader it says spl-2.40 olipro i tried using uni_exitbootloader but it makes the screen go black for like 2 seconds then back to boot loader i must addd that this is the 6800 so im guessing thats the problem because this was for the vogue and not the titan if all else fails could sprint help me i reaaly am clue less right about now

well download the titan rom and try flashing to that and you shouldnt post titan probs in the vouge area youll cofuse the hell outa the vouge users

you can try to flash the 3.27 radio and no spritn cant haelp you they will void the warranty. you will have to mosylikely go through insurance and drop the 50 bux. just pay more attention next time to the title since it said touch aka vogue clearly.

ok i dont wanna make it sound like your sumb or nothing but you ran that and flashed that to your phone correct? because that should fix it without problems. if not try a hard reset and see what that does for you.

ok it installed just fine got the threaded text and all but i still dont know if i ot rev a but i am gonna try a gps app to see if it works....i tryed installing babylon on it and it wouldnt..

as said already in the thread gps rev a is NOT in this rom. touch users will have to wait until th official releasefrom sprint to get this ora leaked version will have to surface.

damn sprint better hurry up with them updates! found out why i couldnt install apps i had to reinstall windows device manager 6.1 on my pc......
