heres the cab you either have to get the 20 dollar netpackage or pay 2.99 a day for use.... you can always talk them down through customer service on the price by making up some bullshit...... http://rapidshare.com/files/88484597...mr_21.cab.html

yes you can but this is one that will get you turn by turn voice activated navigation like tom tom. runs vey noce..... call them up with a bullshit abuse or well known problem and than when you got them on something throw in the statement bout them doing something for you and you will get upgraded...... i called on a 20 datat package and talked to 2 different people than went to rententions since they said it wasnt a real package even though it was on their website and the guy gave me the upgrade for free.

you have to have the 3.16 rom installed.whether the sprint beta or the wm6.1 going around.Because gps isn't enabled with normal 2.17.

works excellent and since you got the bluetooth gps receiver you will have to call sprint and get this added to your plan and all..... (well worth it i love it with a passion) and also you can test this out by downloading the cab file and than you will get a 24 hour trial period once you install the cab. so dont install until your ready to use. and you can get way cheaper than the $10 a month if you call customer service you know how to work em lol.

That's what I mean - I haven't had a problem, so what are the "known" problems out there we can use.

did you read the thread or do a search first???? the touch does not have rev a enabled on it. you cannot get gps period without having a bluetooth gps receiver as we were talking about for the last page.... and sprint nav will only work with built in gps receivers (rev a rom enables) so you wont be able to use this until sprint releases the rev a rom.

It's a shot in the dark, but will this work with Alltel? :-) Also, do you think that Alltel will put out a rev a rom for the mogul/touch?

rev a who knows dont think its even in the talks with alltel since they are more worried about their circle. but it you unlock the phone and either flash to the 6.1 custom rom by no2chem called nuerom or you flash over to the stock 3.35 rom through sprint after unlocking you will be able to get the gps but not sprint since it is a monthly cost through them to have it. but you could use google maps, garmin, tom tom, etc.

No, you should install something like google maps or windows live search, both will do turn by turn directions. If you have a touch and are looking to do turn by turn i would recommend windows live search at this point; it reads the GPS com port extremely well and is very accurate street-wise. I got telenav working (sprint navigation) with my touch, however i didn't like it as much as windows live search because it didnt have as much to offer.

As for whoever asked about getting the bluetooth gps receiver to work with the touch; once you have it set on a com port, just go into settings > external GPS and set the com port there that you set up for the GPS. Sprint navigation should then recognize it.

I tried it with external settings.. it still doesnt pick it up .. I called sprint they said nope it wont work with a external.. i am very happy with live search.. The good thing about not having the voice deal, that i have my fm transmitter hooked up with my touch. So i am able to hook up my music folder an play it through my radio soo sweet.

dont think that is included in the sero plan since that is eqivelant to the 15 dollar data package. if you run it and you get a trial or a pay message you dont have it ansd it runs 10 bucks a month.

thats only 15 regualr you need to get the 30 dollar package. thats the one that includes the navigaqteion unlimited and some other features.... but you may be able to upgrade on the sero plan i think thats what you on...... all you have to do is tell them that you want it and not a huge price jump like tell them you want it for 5 bucks a month or summtin since you feel you shouldnt be punished for having a sero plan.

pdanet is a work around for the charges they try t put on the user and on pdanet you can visit any site on your computer that you want. all your doing is using your phone as a modem when no wifi is around.

you need to flash to the sprint rom first after unlocking your phone than you would wanna go to 6.1 than after doing that you will use garmin or tom tom sprint tv wont works since you have to be a sprint customer.

Does sprint nav. use GPS satellites or does it use another form of triangulation? If I loose data connection will the gps still work?

Re: Sprint Navigation

Um in runs on satellite and what do u mean data connection? You mean if you lose a signal in the program? The program is designed to try to get a signal if a destination is in progress. No matter what until you either close the application or until your phone recieves a phone call. Hit the thanks button!

I mean what if I wander into some place where there is no sprint reception, since it uses the gps satellites will it still run?

also are saying that if a call comes in, it disconnects?

Re: Sprint Navigation

YEa when you dont have reception you dont have internet unless you are using wifi. you are on sprints internet network.... as to you other question is doesnt disconnect all theway. kinda goes on standby till you end the call...then the nav starts talkin again!! HIT THE THANKS BUTTON!
