Thanks to KMartBurrito over at XDA for this find. Has confirmed that the ROM does activate the GPS and the Rev.A.

This is a test copy. Not the official release.

nope no unlock needed and this is the same beta leak i couldnt find the other and i think that itmight have got lost or accidently deleted. a member asked me hwere itwas at and i myself couldnt find it so i reposted and stickied since this is the version that i use myself.

dash, is this the same update from the thread where I was having truoble with at first? or is this the new improved leak or what?, because I have the one where you have the 3 or 4 steps on how to upgrade to wm 6.1 with rev a gps.

you really dont, but its good to have it just in case, when I updated my mogul with this rom I couldnt make a phone call,r text r connect online so these numbers came in handy for me at the end, basically its better to be safe then sorry so take those number down..

al that you have to do to know if it is working is:

1. check to ee if the internet speeds are faster
2. check using google maps (WHILE OUTSIDE) to see if it can pick you up (sometimes takes up to 10 minutes the first time.)
3. notice that the bootup screen has the TEST ONLY! NOT FOR SALE on it.
4. the above re all good signs that you have REV A

yes you can there is a file here that will get rid of it and giveyou a choice os 2 ets of screens that kaos posted up. this is like reflashing ordoing a hard reet so do before you instal anything. heres the link: https://www.wckediden.com/showthread...=splash+screen

Ok Cool, and when doing a hard reset (or in this case a mod equivalent to a hard reset) you will need to know your msl correct?

no, not necessarily. i didnt need to when i flashed to thisrom but some do. so i would write them down to just be sure and safe. and when you do the bootscreen you wont need to. its jst when flashing to this rom that it sometimes happens.

lol i love it there lol.... i will when i get a chance to do it and all will be usy these next towo days but on friday expect it to be done.... runs verysytable and using for this past month or so.

After re reading this I think maybe you mis understood me, I was refering to the bootscreen fix, since that is like a hard reset. Would I need to know my msl after that?

i get error code [260] and cannot update what i am i doing wrong?

In my case I needed the msl b/c it looks like wen I did update the rom it erased everything out my phone but thank god I did write all my info down. Its better to be safe then sorry....

no the only time you would maby need that is when you are flashing from the 2.17 or lower rom to the 3.16 rom. you dont need it when doing the hard reset.


try manually placing the phone into bootloaderby pressing and holding the power nd camera button thatn doing a soft reset with the stylus tha flash from there.... it will say notconnecte to activeync but you will be.

I see it gives you the app, but you have to pay to use sprint navigation? Aldo will sprint tv work with no problem as well?

yes yu do unless you clal sprint and get it included in your data pack..... spritn tv wont work with the mogul as discussed many times until sprint relese and allow it to work for us..... but i use mobitv and i think it is better.

Hey guys I downloaded the ROM update last nite on my mogul and it seemed to be working fine for about an hour. now i have my phone frozen on an activesync screen and it doesnt go away!!!even when you reset the phone it goes rite back to the frozen activesync screen and the touch screen is disabled. ANY HELP, PLEASE!

well what did you install to the phone anything like ulimate lauch??? and after every flash before you install it is smart to do a hard reset straight off the bat.

Do i soft reset by pushing the button under the phone next to the sd card slot. If that doesnt work do a hard reset by holding the two hard buttons down right above the window and the ok button then press the reset button under the phone by the sd slot, but still holding the hard buttons. See if you can get windows back on. If not put the phone in bootloader mode. To do this press the camera button and power button then pushing the soft reset button near your sd slot! Bootloader mode means the rainbow looking screen. Once you have that , try reflashing the phone!

im not sure if this was a reply or not lol (but thanks for the reply if it was help.) i was really confused. but to answer the question fuller than i did last time what you will want to try first is a hard reset. this can be done by holding the 2 soft keys (right below the calender and the contacts tabs on the screen) and than use your stylus and push the reset button by where the sd card goes in. and if that doesnt work try to reflash. you can do this by pressing and holding the camera and power button down while resetting the phone with the stylus the same way as you did above.

it ouldnt sicne i ran ultimate launch on my 3.16 rom... your problem has been discussed and fixed in the ultimate launch thread.

I'm having a little difficulty getting the GPS to work with Google Maps.

I d/l'd and installed the Google Maps app.

On the phone itself I have the GPS settings as follows (External GPS under settings):
COM4, Hardware port NONE, Baud rate 4800, and the Manage GPS Auto is checked.

Under PHONE (Phone under personal settings):
Location Setting is ON

Under Google Maps app: (2 scenerios)
Options->GPS Settings: Com4, 4800 (Manual): This doesn't work the Google Maps App pops up saying "No GPS receiver was found."

Options->GPS Settings: Auto (default): It says Seeking GPS satellites and never ends up doing anything (i haven't let it search for more than a few minutes).

If my settings are right for the AUTO option, how long (average) does it take to find satellites and start plotting?

you are going to want to keep all setting the way they were set and than keep google maps on auto. and the first time it can take up to 10 minutes to connect and than after that it will take mere seconds if that to connect.

Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks!!! I went ahead and called sprint and got the navigation workin!!! On another note, i was wondering if i should flash to a diff version. After i installed touchflo and icube and iphone inerface i get like 6mb of free ram max! what do you guys think could do to improve performance? I am already overclocking 624mhz. Thanks in advance!

well the problem is the touchflo and icube interface. that takes up a crap load of space and not really worth it. take a look at ultimate launch and the first video in the thread much easier to use and gives you alot more space free. https://www.wckediden.com/showthread...ltimate+launch

Thanks. i feel like a duck. I already have ultimate launcher, just didn't realize that icube and touchflo was the problem. I was running like 5048 or one of othe other roms with rev a, do you think i would still run into the problem if i wanted to have touchflo and icube and all the other apps on it?? Thanks in advance!

still take up alot of space. with just touchflo and the iphone interface your looking at 7mb-10mb to run and thats just with one app which is ridiculous.

there is no way you cant flash a rom and restore with a different roms backup. you have to reinstall everything.
