.'.Settings To Avoid Surprised Data Charges!??.'.

how can i stop my phone for connecting to the internet on accident by itself. (lets say i have the phone in my pocket and it accidently clicked internet explorer and begins to connect online) any settings i can put on the phone so anytime (if pie or any mobile internet browser) is accidently clicked it will try to connect but come up with an error cannot connect so it wont accidently connect and i end up with some suprised data charges. reason being is i took data off my phone because i dont need it on my mogul. but i dont want to accidently click on the internet and it get some high data charges. i thought hmmm maybe i can just have the wifi swtich constantly on but than i also thought that might not work because i could still get charges especially if it dont find a wifi thing and also that really drains the battery. plus i have the wifi router installed on my phone from when i first got it like in august. so i dont want it to accidently start sending out internet either and get data charges. so what can i do to avoid this i called the company to tell them to take it off. but i guess it didnt work because my phone still goes online.

i dont think that you cn disable the internet completely. the only way that i can think of doing this would be to get all intenet programs that arent used (aftermarket) ninstalle from your phone. than once you do this i would say to go to internet exlorer and take it off your main list from the drop down menu so you would have to go to start program and than click it. also make sure ther are no homescreen plugins on your main screen that connect to the internet.

well the only internet programs as far as browswers go i have is pie and netfront or something like that. that already expired on me. i have some other programs but i guess i gotta figure out how to that. but to take it off the drop down list is an good idea. i guess i gotta take of the sprint music store to and sprint software store and on demand things off my drop down and home screen.

ok i just did all that but it could still happen on accident. but i hope not. so if you of anyone finds a way to mess wit the data settings like change the "#777" dial up number to something else like "39759027502439" (some random number) so that when it dials up that random number it says like "error cannot connect" or something ill appreciate that because sprint obviously didnt take it off since they charged me for data and text i know i didnt make. but i gotta make sure of this by uninstalling all the settings so i know it wont connect.

once i click on the connections icon all i have is

my work network with 3 links

add a new modem connection

add a new vpn connection

set up my proxy server

than i have to tabs at the bottom. tasks where all that above is in.

than the advanced tab which has the following in it. . .

select which networks are automatically used which has 2 buttons below the select networks and dialing rules.

than the 2nd part of it has create exceptions for intranet addresses

with exceptions button under it.

AL.

Hey so i did this a couple days ago and i realized that my phone still got online too but it didn't dial the #777 it just got online. So i used it a little for like two days so that it at least showed up on the bill but they said that i hadn't used anything since i called to turn everything off so now i can't send/recieve picture mail but i can still get my emails synced. I have the kaos rom so i dunno if that made a difference. i think i'm just gonna keep checking to make sure i'm not getting charged when i told them i don't even want to be allowed online. I was wondering if anybody who tried the koas rom had this issue.
