After Flash, Stuck in Reset Loop
 

I flashed to the 6.1 rom from the leaked rev a rom, I unlocked the phone, and flashed, it makes it to the align screen screen, and then it resets, and starts all over, I have reflashed with the same, rom and every other available rom including the stock rom and the leaked rom. Its all the same. just a reset loop I have hard reset and pulled the battery after every flash, the flashes seem to work correctly just in a rest loop .:Flush:

BUMP!!!!! i looked into this some more the reason for the loop on resets is because of wrong bootloader on the phone. if you have a stock sprint rom including the rev a leak rom you will have to have the bootloader in 2.06. ( im pretty sure if not very close) and for custom roms like 6.1 you will need to have bootloader olipro 2.40. tell me what rom you are running and what the bootloader version is. you can get it to go manually into bootloader by pressing and holding the power and camera button while reseting with the stylus.

Ok here is the low down, I started with a fresh phone out of the box, I upgraded to the leaked rom (rev a) on the stock bootloader, I was not happy with that because the performance was poop, and the gps didnt work. I decided to read, read, read and learned how to do another flash with a custom rom this time it was no2chem 5051 and I did it yesterday, with an unlocked spl 1.10 it went into reset loop, I flashed to all other avail. roms with no luck, I successfully flashed back to 2.17 today, its choppy but its not resetting at least not yet. I didnt relock I simply flashed to olipro 2.40, then flashed to no2chem 5048 and back into the reset, loop. I am stuck I am back to 2.17 (stock sprint, what am I missing. I could have sworn I did everything to perfect.

you need to use spl 2.40 not 1.10.also 4051 has major bugs i suggest 48

Thanks I thought that was correct,but it still didnt work for me, I am running 2.17 right now, with olipro 2.40 bootloader.

thats impossible the rom wont flash with the 2.40 bootloader....... you never had it unlocked correctly thats why you were able to flash but had the reset problem and why you could flash over stock roms.

When I enter bootloader (via the cam, and power buttons during soft reset.) it shows reads

"TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.40.Olipro
CPLD-9"

When I softreset to get out of bootloader, it will boot into wm6 stock rom (ver 2.17) in the about screen it reads

"CE OS 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3)"

Under device information it reads

"ROM Version 2.17.651.0
ROM Date 11/18/07
Radio Version 1.47.01"

Where am I? where do I go from here? I am confused now LOL.

your going to want ot lock your phone bro or its going to cause you major problems in the future and i have no clue how you got that bootloader with that rom. what do you mean where do you go from there im really lost. please be more in depth.

I was in a rest loop. I couldnt do anything, I flashed back to 2.17, then locked the phone. bootloader, is now 1.06 (or 1.07 i forget I am at work right now,) so as it sits, the phone it sprint 2.17 with a 1.47 radio and 1.06/7 bootloader and its locked. When I unlock with olipro 2.40 and flash to any rom, it doesn't upgrade the radio. when I try to flash the leaked rom, it doesnt flash it starts the percentage bar on the pc and then the phone resets a couple of times and says connection error thats with activesync completely disabled and enabled. I want wm6.1 with gps and threaded text, and it to be faster, (its slow right now.) Where do I go from here. I have downloaded every rom out ther I do beleive.

I have no2chem build 5048 - 5051
I have the stock 2.17
I have the dcd rom,
I have the leaked rom.
I both olipro unlockers 1.10 & 2.40
I have the exitbootloader
I have the Relocker.

I just need to know what order I have to use them in now, as I said I am at:

Sprint stock Rom 2.17
Radio 1.47
Locked 1.06/7 bootloader.

I do feel a little accomplished, I beleive I have stumped the D/\sh LOL I don't know how I got that first rom with that bootloader either but I did LOL

3.16 will give you connection errors...you have to follow the recovery steps just dont give up it will flash...it resets alot during install as well....the connection error appears at 11% follow the recover steps...then it will start again at 11% and finish.....so leave locked flash 3.16 sprint leak......after it takes then unlock and do no2chems 48 if thats what you want...

Ok I got it to take the leaked rom, do I STILL leave it locked to flash from the leak to 5048? or do I unlock before i go to 5048, if i need to unlock, do i use olipro 1.10 or olipro 2.40 to unlock?

the official rom is out now....I posted it look under windows appz....you can leave it locked for that....Im running it right now...its still wm6.0 but seems so much more stable..as well as a totally new radio.

Sorry To be such a PITA, but I really want 6.1 with the threaded sms and working GPS. I am hung up installing the leaked rom and ive flashed now 9 times and it still restarts and disconnects at 11%

did you unlock the phone??? make sure it says olipro 2.40 sounds like you on the stock bootloader.... and if you want i can do it for you and mod just send me a pm for the details.

Success!!!! Finally a week has paid off. Im now running 6.1 (5048) with gps (i hope) and sms threader.! just one last detail, can someone figure out a regedit to enable the REPEAT function in the phone and text message notification found in Start>Setting>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications. So it will act like a regular phone so when I miss and call or msg it reminds me every 2-3 minutes?

bro you only have to ask once you dont have to ask the same question in multiple threads. but basically i dont think that it would be possible to do that.
