Enable WIFI & Phone to work at same time
 
***ATTENTION READ THE FOLLOWING PLEASE***

I came across this info on the net and decided to share this with you guys. this has been said to work on wm5 but is also said to work on wm6 with no problems! me and Wckediden are not responsible for any type of damage you may do to your phone by doing this. so please realize that you are. . . DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!



search the forums to find many different regedit programs and choose one than follw the below.

OK!!! heres the problem.

A lot of us want to be able to use phone and evdo at the same time.

1) Use An Registry editior such as PHM Regedit or Resco https://www.wckediden.com/showthread...=resco+regedit
2) start registry editor go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE>SERVICES>WirelessMGR
3) Edit the key called mutexflag change the value from 1 to 0
4) accept the changes close the program set you phone down and WAIT 15 minutes.
5) reset phone by pushing the reset button on the bottom
Now you can turn wifi and phone on at same time


Now for what you do to solve your problem with connecting on accident to EVDO
1) go to START>Setting>Connections>Connections>Manage Existing Connections>
2) push and hold on top of data network until the option delete pops up
3) delete it NO MORE EVDO

lol triple post wow havent seen that in a long time.... bit anyways i tested this out and it does work like a charm...... its actually pretty cool..... now i can go on the net when talkin to da gurl and not have to actually listen and now just pretend. but ya alright glad it works. i thought it was kool 2 but scared 2 try and i also thought it be cool to do while talking to someone that might start to bore me or something hahaha but idk about doing that 2 my girl she will beat my ass as well lol. but yes this is great to talk with bluetooth and be on the internet at same time. now only if i had wifi here :triste:


i found another find that i guess is suppose to enable ur evdo and phone at same time but im not sure and also not sure to post it here in 6800 or touch threads i think im going to in the touch threads. since it will probably be better used for touch users since this is better used for mogul users.

lol ight i think we can sticky this bad boy. also dont worry bout the triple post no biggie there. you staff and can get away with it lol.... jsut use the edit feature in the future if they are close to eachoter.... and you can use the mult quote to quote multiple people.

lol ok well feel free to stick it since i dont think i have that power. alright i wont worry and yes i know i can multiquote but i always kind of found that a lil pain to copy and paste every quote into a reply so i can quote everyone. alright ill be sure to use the edit feature if i feel they pretty close.

you dont have to by the thansk you will see tabs and one has a +" and you click that on each post that you want to quote and than hit reply and than your golden..... but lets stay on topic....

Ok, so I am using Resco Reg Edit - and I go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE>SERVICES...

but then I'm not finding any "WirelessMGR". Any idea why? Do I need to install something else first?

I'm using ROM version 3.35.651.2 if that helps.

Oh, and I did a search for "WirelessMGR" in Resco and got no results.

Any suggestions?

its in there on my side bro have you ever turned the wifi on for it to write something to the registry?

Yup, use it all the time.

I also have Swcked pocket plus installed which has a WI-FI on/off function that you can use instead of the actual switch on the side. Any idea if that could make a difference?

Just did a soft reset as well -- and WI-FI is on and connected. Still nothing showing.

no clue unless the pocket plus switched the registry on you.

huh odd i have had the same problem too..... i was going to do this to my buddies mogul and his didnt have it but mine did..... so i have no clue why that would be... prolly different build dates and they changed the registry some or something.

i suggest if you read this thread and got it to work to post what program you used. me i just used the sktools one. i didnt use an program that was suggested.


also i suggest post the build date of your phone and rom your running to see if that makes an difference.

yup i think he takes it out or changes it. now that i flashed over to the updated 5057-5059 roms i dont have it anymore either..... and my gurl doenst have it on her stock rev a rom.......... some seem to have and some dont..... as discussed above it might also go on build date of the phone.

nae 5055 didnt work for me with that rom on my gurls phone..... it goes on build date most likely as said above....

im also wondering if kaos could make something with his rom build that will allow it if he can figure it out. but i think we have 2 first. it would be nice if we figure it out and kaos build a rom with it built in so all user that flash to the rom can get it to work.

i was running ht eofficial gps rom from sprint.

i tried that too and it didnt show again im sooo lost on what is going on and all. i wonder if 6.1 can mess with it or summtin i doubt it but who knows.... it might be like the radio and gets stuck after flash.

hmmm idk either. i didnt have it when i didnt have 6.1 installed so im wondering whats going on. i didnt understand the radio being stuck after flash part.
