ive installed the htc home customizer and it works fine only that, i changed my clock and icons and now i cant change them back, i get an error message, i also been soft reseting anyone1 know wat to do

Are you using Ultimate Launcher?

If so i can help you, i had this problem too but i dicked around wiht it till i found the solution.

yeah good call forgot bout that all you have to do is disabnle ultimate launch reable the home plugin than change and disable home plugin and reable UL

i am using HTC HOME CUSTOMIZER and when i try too change everything back too original i get an error message that says "an error occured copying your selected clock. the program will now continue, and this will come out for icons also, how can i fix this

u have to disable the ul in the today screen and enable htc home then after change enable ul and disable htc home in today items screen

thats ok, go to start/personal/today/items then uncheck the ultimate laucnher tab and recheck the htc home tab and x out. then do your changing on the htc customizer, when done go back to start/personal/today/items and uncheck the htc home and recheck the ultimate launcher..i had the same problem and this worked like a charm....

i do not have ultimate launcher installed , never did, i only have the htc home customizer and im still having problems. i was able to change the clock and icons once, now i cannot change back too original or other themes

try to uninstall and reinstall and see what that does for you bro.

juss removed and re installed it and same problem, when i try too set everything back too original or change it , after it ask too save, a error message comes out statin that it cannot copy clock, or copy what ever else i choose.. for now im stuck with the vista icons and differnt clock, not even when i erased the program did i get my defaults back

ugggggghhhhhh lol this sucks... dash i downloaded the newer verison, the link u left me, installed it, did a soft reset, opened it up, changed the theme to original, nothing loaded and it took me stright too the today screen. i mean i dont think i am doin anything wrong if i got it too change in the 1st place, this is upsettin me becuase i was only playing with the phone now it seems stuck in this corny theme. what can i do

i went into it and i installed everything there, then wen i put it in my phone, it seemed too have worked, it changed my theme settings back to the original which is great but nowwwwwww lol ready for this one...i cannot change themes, im stuck at the original theme, with the same problem, i get that error message when i try too change the clock , icon or bg

dude you can always change themes go to start/settings/personal/today and choose your theme and if the clocks with the customizer arent working you messed something up on your phone because i did research and found no one with the same ploblem as you all you do is install the weather fix cab i gave you a couple posts up and than the customizer and works fine for everyone.

i see, well yeh the clocks dont work nore the bg or icons, the reason im confused is that, i orginally changed it and it stayed stuck on another theme, if i got it 2 change to begin with, i believe im taken the right steps, but ill mess with it a little more, thanks dash

alright yeah you might want to try a hard reset thpguh... since all you have to do is install the link i gave you to the weather fix plugin itself and than install the home customizer and see what that does for you.

ok i did what u told me.. didnt work ..fustrated.... wat else do u suggest, u know wat i mean if i got it too change once i am doing the right thing, should i erase all programs, and reinstall? or is there another home customizer?

ummmm you wouldnt need to uninstall after a hard reset... there has to be a major problem with the phone... back up your contacts and hard reset back to the way it came from the box and reinstall the programs that you want....

thanks but i dont think i will do dat, phone is brand new no less then 1 week old, i think i juss loaded it with too much from this site too quick, idk ill continue too mess wit it, if not screw the htc home customizer

bro thats the problem when you install and uninstall too much it messes with the registry and all apps will start to fail, the phone will slow down and all that.... but your choice on that... we all do them especially at first since you are figuring out what apps that you like...... every time you uninstall an app little traces of the app are leftover in the registry and windows folder so thats prolly what is doing it...... conflicting with too many things or cant find since the registry was changed from whats it is looking for.

not sure what phone you have since i know it not the razor V2 lol....

for the mogul you need to press and hold the two soft keys (have the dot on them just below the contacts and calender tabs on your screen) and than soft reset with the stylus at the same time.

for the touch you hold the call button and the call end button (green and red) and soft reset with the stylus.

everything not on your storage card will be lost....... been discussed before you can do through outlook and activesync or through mail2web like me. you can find a mail2web tutorial by doing a quick search for free direct push email.

hey dash. i didnt do a reset on the phone but i uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times and the clock now seems too be working fine, i havent tried the icons or bg yet tho but thanks for the help
