Upgrading Rom Issues
 
Dash, I'm starting to feel as you did when you were a noob. I dont wanna give up totally though. I have attempted to get the Nuerom 5055 on my phone. I downloaded the Olipro to find out it was the 1.2 edition. I tried the relocker and I am still stuck on the red, green, blue, and white screen. Also I am not sure what I need to do to get the rom going. Do I only need build 5055 from the ftp site? You're not doing a video anytime soon, are you? I just cant go to work with my phone like this tomorrow. Its necessary for operations in the field. Plus I dont wanna lose a $75 bet that I couldnt get this done in a night. I already had the newest rom out from sprint if that is of any assistance.

lol you best hook me up when you win that bet lol...... but ok what are the numbers that the rainbow screen on your phone says????? is it 1.06 or is it 2.40????? if it says 2.40 you will be all set. if not and it says 1.06 you will have to reflash the stock sprint rom on there and than relock the phone with the titan unlocker that you have (cant be ran from the rainbow bootloader screen) than once you get that run the hardspl device unlcoker found here: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/Im...rd-SPL-MFG.exe
than you will remain plugged in via usb and run the 5055 rom update which you said that you have. but to be able to flash it on the phone you have to place into this folder (if you havent already) and than run the rom update utility.exe. the folder you need to drag and drop the .nbh file into the RUU Folder which i assume that you have already... any other questions feel free to ask bro... and hope that this helps.

My screen currently says SPL 1.20. I am not certain what I need to do with the ROM version. I have downloaded it already. So I will need to place that file in with the RUU and all is "swell"? I am going to get on that. If he actually pays up, expect big donation from me.

lol you will need reflash back to the stock rom 3.35 and than once you do that you will need to run the unlcoker i linked you to and than after that take the 5055 that comes as a nbh file drag into the RUU that you can find on here and than jst run the rom upgrade utility and you will be golden..... actually give me 20 minutes i will get upload the finished ruu so alll you have to do is run the exe and all for you...... so why i ge tthat ready for you in the next 30 minutes work on flashing back the stock rom and than once you do that run that unlocker i likned you to and you should go into bootloader 2.40 and post when your at that point.

I'm starting to feel a lil stupid now. I am tryng to flash back but it says that it cant find my phone. It is still stuck on that rainbow screen. The screen does say spl-1.20.olipro. I know you are super busy but what would you say is going wrong?

wrong bootloader..... damn ummmmmmm.... have you tried to run the unlocker that i gave you and see if it recognizes the phone?

ok since you flashed the wrong bootloader what you are going to have to do is this now...... ill psot a link of the rom on the bottom of this message flash that rom over which is not a gps rom..... which should work for you since thats the bootloader that they use. than once you do that you will have to relock the phone and flash to the stick rom to get the radio. once you do that you will have to unlock with the hardspl unlocker i gave you and than flash to the 5055 rom and you will than be fine.... http://rapidshare.com/files/70023125...L_v1.1_4MB.rar

It was flashing to the old rom without gps. It finished kinda quickly. When it started up it froze on the startup screen. Now it will not go past the startup screen.

ok now we getting somewhere what you need to do now is flash the following radio onto your phone in the same matter. tell me when your done with this.... if you would have flashed the right bootloader lol....

This phone may be a brick now. It is not being recognized by the computer when connected with the USB cable or anything. Yeah...if I would have flashed the right bootloader. Is it a brick?

no it aint a brick bro plug it in and than let it sit there for like 15-25 seconds and than run the radio.

It tells me that I have the wrong password. Thank you for all of your help. I have to be at work in 5 hours so I am gonna turn in. After I get the radio do I just need to follow the rest of your previous instructions. I will try to get up an hour early to attempt to complete this.

yup it sure wll once you get the radio on there you will be able to relock and than once you do that you will relock the phone and than flash to the official rev a rom from sprint and than you will unlock with the bootloader that i gave you and you will than flash too 6.1.. also if you want i can fix her up for you and mod it out with all my apps for the price of the modding service if you can tget it to save you some stress and all

Hopefully after this I can get it completed. I took off today....lol I look at my screen and see htc smart mobility. It will not leave that screen. I soft and hard reset....same thing. I connect it to my computer...nothing. (well it charges) I havent tried the radio yet because of the password issue but so far nothing else is working. This is my last hoo-rah.

than you have bricked. when you get to the radio mising part you want to put into bootloader and not just keep hard and soft resetting. time to get a new phone...... if you go through insurance i will pay you for the old one and all the 50 bux so i can use it as a test phone to add hinges to from the tilt and see if i can make the mogul a tilt.

damn that sucks....they should just take out that old unlocker from all the sites...but from what im reading, u told him to flash back to the old sprint rom and then lock...he should try to re lock first and then flash to sprints new rom, it worked for me the 1st time when I was a noob..o the good ol days lol

no he used the old unlocker fir custom roms so he had to flash to a custom rom so i gave him the link to one of the first ever customs for a mogul made by colonel. and than he could have flashed and than relocked and run the official rom. than unlock with the right unlocker and than flash to 6.1 lol .

I got my new Mogul and am ready to try again. I start with the olipro 2.40. Before it can flash it disconnects and then the RUU walks me through the recovery. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

try under usb settings unchecking advanced network connection on ppc.

Thanks but that didnt work. I just got this Mogul today. I am using Windows Vista though that never affected any of my "normal" flash actions. I start the RUU. The screen goes to the percentage bar and stops...while on my computer screen it does the same. It disconnects and then reconnects and then disconnects...based off the chimes that I hear. Also it freezes on the percentage bar...both at 0%.

what rom you trying to flash? it would be easier to communicate if you have a aim or palringo to help with your issue...pm me if so with it....but if its my rom...you have to flash sprints 3.35 first phone has to be locked for that...then after that is installed...unlock...then you can flash my rom...

This phone came with 3.35 on it already. I am trying to do the unlocker but it keeps doing this disconnecting crap.

right it will disconnect when it goes to bootloader mode and than once it disconnect it will connect and say usb on the screen than you will be fine to flash over.

First of all thanks to Kaos for his help. The Unlocker that I was trying to use was for Pre-GPS. Everytime I tried to use it I was disconnected. Since then one has been created for GPS roms. I used that one. Now I am loving this new ROM. Its blazing fast...lol. I havent found any issues yet. Startup image is great!

I'm a noob at flashing to this new rom...so I'm trying to get some help with it. When I look under device info it says I have the 3.35.04 Radio version, which I think is the new version but for ROM version it says its the 2.17.651.0. Can someone please help me get the new GPS and REV A ROM?

if your wanting to run the stock rom.just download from htc.plug phone into usb...click to run...thats it...keep in mind you will have to reinstall all your programs again.

I tried to upgrade my Mogul to 6.1 and froze it. Active sync will not recognize it and hard reset does no good. It says SPL-2.40.Olipro. Can anyone help?

read through this thread already discussed plug in and the screen will say usb and than flash the custom rom you want and than done.

ok just upgraded to rom build 5059 and for some reason i can set up my outlook but wont let me set up hotmail so that i can have it pushed to my phone like in the sprint ROM any suggestions

Also noticed there is no gps app am i just blind

you need to download the gps app. theres many on here...... and the email is different in the 6.1 setup wise so be sure to follow the slightly different instructions for set up.

i think i asked ya earlier but dont remember where is the thread pertaining to 5059 as i can find 5055 5058 and 5060 whn i do a search for nuerom but not one for 5059. I dont want to ask questions that have already been asked. So if i read a thread on it first it would save me time and frustration and you slappin me lol

all you have to do is go to the 5060 rom and than go to the ftp ppcgeeks link and there will be all right there.

yeah as far as hotmail goes it says to go to a mobile site and check it unless you have pocket msn installed so i guess ill make a decision on which i really want to do. but for now ill go find that thread and start reading lol thanks

Ok, I need help people. I unlocked my phone and was about to flash the new ROM when my laptop overheated and cut off. I cut it back on and activesync wont connect. Anything I can do?

just discussed above plug in and it will connect and say usb on the rainbow bootloader screen, than just run the rom as normal. please read in the future.

Did read Dash. my solution hadn't been discussed. i had the 1.20 bootloader and everything stopped at 11%. I gotit fixed. If anyone else has this issue you have to flash the 2.17 ROM first; the only one that will complete with 1.20. let me know if anyone need it.

I had a similar issue. If you check the earlier posts of this thread its well documented. Things like this have to happen sometime so that others may learn. 1.20 is not the one you want anymore. I had it and what a mess it made.

so I have the spl-2.40 olipro and I think I have bricked my nice alltel 6800(mothafukkjasdlfkj) when it came to the rainbow screen I soft reseted and took the battery out....then came to this and read and tried to figure out my issue but now when I soft reset it flashes red and then comes back to the rainbow screen. I went to the htc site and tried to run the sprint 3.35 rom and went through the wizard and it came up to the updating screen and then just stayed at zero
