to flash a stock from a custom.
1. relock the phone using titan relocker found here:

http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueSPLnueSPL-ReLocker-for-the-HTC-Titan.aspx
2. download the stock rom that you want
3. connect to activesync
4. run the exe file and follow the steps of the wizard.
5. DONE.|

For Alltel Or Verizon Mogul (enable GPS)
1. unlock the phone using the titan hardspl (look in the above flashing methods to find)
2. flash to the sprint 3.35 rom (might stop at 11% dont worry though just let it be)
3. when phone boots up dont let the customizations began and soft reset to avoid those before the 3 second timer expires.
4. now flash to the custom rom of your choice (WM 6.1)
5. follow the rules for that rom
6. DONE.|

Step 1: HTC Mogul RUU Utility
The first term you need to become a familiar with is RUU Rom Upgrade Utility; this is the software program you will execute on your computer to begin installing a new ROM on your HTC Mogul. You will want to get the RUU and it is good to keep this rar for future releases since generally ROM files are posted by themselves with .nbh extensions.

Step 2: HTC Mogul Hard SPL
Now the other main component to being able to load a custom ROM is the SPL. The SPL essentially unlocks the phone so that the RUU Rom Update Utility is able to flash new ROMs to the phone. Basically you need to download the SPL file in order to make use of any ROMs that are not issued directly from your carrier or HTC. This is a key component and should not be overlooked.
Now you have the Hard SPL file at this point and you have your empty Rom Update Utility RUU ready for a custom ROM. Take out your checklist and cross those two off, but don’t forget your data cable. The most critical piece of hardware other than the phone in this process is going to be your sync cable. Also if you have never connected your HTC Mogul to the computer you will want to make sure you have ActiveSync (xp) or Sync Center (vista) installed on your machines.

Step 3: HTC Mogul ROM Time (Whatever one You choose)
You download the rom from wherever your source is...hopefully it will be www.wckediden.com

Step 4: HTC Mogul Exit Bootloader
Now you have the custom ROM and you have the Hard SPL so things are moving along very well at this point and you should be well prepared for the ROM upgrading process, but before we get ahead of ourselves there is another essential download that you will want to get now before you freak out during the installation process and start believing that your HTC Mogul is toast, lol.

-The Titan Exit Bootloader

This program will become your savior if you ever have the uncomfortable opportunity to be left looking at a red blue and green bootloader screen after executing the hard spl. You are now at the point where you have all the necessary files, you have your HTC Mogul in hand with data cable, activesync(XP) or mobile device center(Vista) are installed and you are ready for the big show. Let it go down!

IMPORTANT: If at this point you felt that this entire post was a waste of your time and you have been loading Custom ROMs on your HTC Mogul (Titan) since day 1 you may want to remember that all future roms will require that you have an original bootloader. This would NOT be the case if you have ever done any Custom ROM work so I will direct you to ImCoKeMaN’s re-virginizing solution at this point.

Step 5: HTC Mogul Rom "of your choice" Installation
Time to get the ball rolling, so you are going to want to follow these simple instructions in the proper order and it will be smooth sailing in no time

-Run your Hard SPL unlocker.
-If you are stuck on the bootloader screen (red, green, blue) then use the bootloader unlocker tool Titan Exit Bootloader
-You are ready for the ROM now, so have at it. Run the .exe file
-Let the phone complete the installation and restart. If the program says that the ROM was corrupt after the installation (ROM flashing) is complete don’t worry about it that’s usually how this thing goes since you are not using an official ROM with the Rom Update Utility RUU.

And as you have with the official roms you may have loaded onto your phone in the past, please restrict yourself to these rules below on what is needed to be done to successfully conduct a rom change as set down by HTC
Before you run the ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU), make sure you check and do the following first:

1. If you are having challenges connecting with ActiveSync, please try the following on your device: Start > Settings > Connection Tab > USB to PC and de-select Enable advanced network functionality.
2. The standby and hibernation modes are disabled on the computer. Click here to view instructions on how to do this. If using a laptop, make sure your laptop is plugged into a power source.
3. All running applications on the computer have been closed.
4. Ensure that your device has a battery level of at least 50% (Start > Settings > System Tab > Power > Battery Tab). If the battery "dies" during the upgrade process, there is a chance that it will not recover and will need to be sent for repairs.
5. The update can take up to 25 minutes so set aside time when you will not be interrupted.
6. All data will be deleted from the device during the upgrade (music, pictures, 3rd party applications, etc); be sure to back up all of your data using ActiveSync (Windows Mobile Device Center, if you are running Windows Vista) prior to upgrading. Click here to view detailed instructions on backing up your data using ActiveSync.
7. Do not interrupt the upgrade process or press any buttons until the process has been completed (the device will reset itself when the update is done).
WARNING: During the upgrade process, do not attempt to make/receive calls, press any buttons on your device or disconnect the device from the USB cable as this will stop the update and your device will be rendered inoperable!!!

And thats all folks!!!!

USE
Code:

https://www.wckediden.com/f551/touch-pro-raphael-hspl-unlocker-relocker-cdma-only-175733/

How to Flash Via PC:

1.download the ruu.zip attachment
Code:

http://www.mediafire.com/?jjnyjm2lmzn
2.unzip to your desktop
3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)
4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button)
5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there

Flash from microSD Card (Thanks to MadlyAlive):

1. Make sure you backup anything that is necessary to your day to day operations! At a minimum, please perform an ActiveSync to Outlook or your Exchange server prior to flashing!
2. Rename the custom ROM NBH file from RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh
3. Copy RAPHIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD Card.
4. Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus.
5. When your Touch Pro tells you to do so, press the power button to begin the flash process. If you do not get the message to press the power button to flash, there is a mistake in the name of the NBH file or you do not have the file at the root of your microSD card.
6. When flashing is complete, perform a soft reset.

1) 1) download newest RhodiumW Hard-SPL package and extract this to an empty folder.
Code:

http://hpcmonex.net/htc/rhodw/RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_01R2_100HSPL_Release.zip
you must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile
!!! the device needs to be connected to Activesync or WMDC via USB cable. and it must not be in Flight/Airplane mode (i.e. the phone part should be on).
3) internet access
is required as the program checks online for updates and for the license.
4) run Rhodium-HardSPL.exe on your PC, make sure it’s launched from a local drive (not through network drive, etc.). running it on XP requires Admin logon, and Vista/Windows 7 will automatically prompt to allow it to run in Admin mode, so allow it please.
important: if you get an antivirus warning, please ignore it, it contains no harmful code (just used a packer to compress it). if you encounter DEP errors, then add it to the exception list in DEP settings.
5) follow steps as prompted in the Hard-SPL program. if this is the first run of Hard-SPL on a device after hard reset, you must select Automatic flash mode (the first button in Welcome screen).
notes: you should usually go for Automatic flash mode; the Manual flash option is only to be used as noted below – any other errors triggered while running in Autoflash mode will have to be fixed as instructed in the error message.
6) it will ask you to wait while it prepares for the flashing, press OK.
7) now it should go through without any error messages, if one does pop up, then please follow the instructions included in the error text. if no specific instruction is shown, then ask for help in the forums, but this should not ever occur (as this means a really fatal error occurred).
8) at this point the device did hopefully went to a black screen. this is the SSPL version, which is temporary. then RUU (Rom Update Utility) will instantly launch.
9) some notes: when RUU says it will perform a hard reset and cause data loss, do not worry, it is not going to do this. also when it says the flash will take 10 minutes, ignore that, it will only take a minute or so.
10) SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
11) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 1.00.OliNex, which is the current Hard-SPL version.
More Notes:
NOTE 1: you will not see the SPL version during normal boot, that is the OS version, not SPL!
to enter SPL to check version, you need the following key combination: Power Button + Volume Down + Reset Button. means, do a soft reset while holding the “volume down” key and power key on the side of the device. hold these keys until you see a special tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode.

NOTE 2: this is unsigned Hard-SPL. no limitations on flashing ROMs (except of course some Radio roms). also, this has overwrite protection against HTC RUU’s overwriting HSPL with a stock one, so if someone needs to revert to stock SPL for warranty reasons, a stock SPL downgrade package is posted here below. use this relocker *only* if you need to return the phone for warranty, and only use it as last step – after reflashing stock OS and radio. see steps at the end of this post about how to reflash stock SPL.

NOTE 3: anyone having USB problems with the device after it already entered SSPL mode, please copy SSPL-Manual-Rhodium.exe from SSPL-Manual-RhodiumW.zip attachment in this post, copy it to the device and run it. then once the screen has gone black, run the Hard-SPL package on the PC and you must select Manual flash option. *important*: make sure that the USB cable is plugged in and device is synced to Windows Mobile even if doing manual method.

NOTE 4: do not use this RUU for anything other than SPL flashing (i.e. hardspl or stock spl restore)!!! nothing other than SPL’s made by Olinex team will flash to make SSPL more secure. if you want to flash some other rom, then use shipped RUU or a customRUU if you need to flash cooked ROMs.

NOTE 5: supported OS versions: both 32-bit and 64-bit XP, Vista, Windows 7RC and later. Windows 2000 was untested, and pre-RC win7 (lower than build 7100) is explicitly not supported. also, the program may be unstable or not work on Virtual systems, so it’s recommended to try outside Virtual OS software
.

Re: Flashing Roms Custom And Stock

okay so.. i went to kaos's **** sprint thread and read that..
then realized i needed to learn some more so i found this thread and read through it..
i think my first problem has to do with flashing the radio 3.35.. so i posted my questions here, is this okay?

so far i've got that i need to:
1. back up all of my contacts and such with pimbackup-v2-7
i did this

2. upgrade to radio 3.35 by flashing it stock-stock
i'm stuck here, it says that i have an invalid mobile id? i tried it four times, everytime the % bar shows up on the computer and my phone i get a message saying that an error occured and i need to recover my phone. the recovery is fine but the radio 3.35 just won't install.. my phone is the VOGU100; current rom 1.12.651.1, 9/18/07; radio version 2.13.00

3. download and install hard-spl-mfg which is supposed to have olipro 2.40 in it..
is this right? that olipro 2.40 is in hard-spl-mfg? i got this from ppcgeeks thread 22132

4. this part is also a little confusing, according to kaos' thread i need to download the kaos rom, then install it, then soft reset, then remove the battery, flash the kaos rom, then hard reset? i guess the part i'm mainly confused about here is whether installing and flashing mean the same thing for this step

sorry i have so many questions.. it's just thought i thought that i had everything figured out after searching and reading.. and then when i got to the first problem i started imagining what other problems that i might run into.. leading me to this list of questions

just curious I have the 3.35 radio on the phone, Im fixing to unlock and flash to kaos rom. when I come to the tricolor screen on my phone I'm going to go to the rapidshare link(while attached to activesync still so it will say usb on my phone) and download the file of which when the pop up comes up to save or run I am going to run which should bring up the wizard to complete. Where I am lost is you talking about draggin and dropping a folder. Will I be safe with the way I described or do I need to do it the other way?

ok the way that it is done is like it says in my signature under flashing. you will need to add the nbh file to the RUU folder and than once you do that all you have to do is run the romupdateutility.exe.

thats where you lose me at! when I unlock the phone, then i go back to the thread with the rom. when I click the rapidshare link and go through the steps it will bring up that pop up asking to run save or cancel. do i need to save the file to pc and unzip to get those files or can I just run the downloaded file and run the wizard or what the file will bring up.

1. save the file to your pc and dont just run.
2. when you download you will get a nbh file only
3. take that and drag to the ruu file you can find in the first post from my signature.
4. than run the romupdateutility.exe and than follow the wizards steps.

Re: Flashing Roms Custom And Stock

okay so with both winrar files pulled up( two differnt tabs at bottom on start bar) i opened up the rom folder took the nbh file and dragged it to the ruu folder where then it compressed it into the folder. the thing is it has a folder for the ruu and then below that is the nbh file. when i click on the ruu folder the nbh file is not in with all the files in that folder. am I straight to go ahead and start? all I need to do once unlocked is double click the romupdate.exe folder inside that one to start the wizard right? i remember my first flash and well panic is a good word. just want to be prepared! thnx dash

trying to flash the Sprint ROM onto the 6800, followed the directions (ran splunlocker, loaded ROM) but it keeps getting stuck at 0% and says Communication Error, my computer is not going to sleep, what gives?

well thats the problem you only unlock the phone is flashing custom rom and the 3.35 is the stock rom. relock nad than flash to the 3.35 sprint rom and than unlock and go to 6.1 if you choose.

Re: Flashing Roms Custom And Stock

noob ? if I switch from a custom to a custom(kaos version 2 to dcds 3.0.1 alltel) do I have to flash a stock and then go flash the custom or can i go custom to custom. if so on the custom to custom....dcds is an exe file so would i need to still paste it in my ruu file even though there is no nbh?

nope your phone stays locked so you wont have to reunlock the phone.... and no you just run the exe file and flash the phone by following the steps.

nope you unlocked once and wont have to unlock again unless you relock the phojne using the relocker tool. so if you didnt relock after you unlocked your golden to flash and double click the exe file and follow the steps on your pc.

3. when phone boots up dont let the customizations began and soft reset to avoid those before the 3 second timer expires.

5. follow the rules for that rom

Um, Dash, this may be a dumb question and I may be reading too much into this but, does the blue text up there mean I should NOT flash with a stock Rom, such as the newest one on the alltel site? If I did what would happen? Thankyou :) I just would like to have all my bases covered.

My thinking is that it shouldn't work to flash the new alltel rom after the new sprint rom, as both roms will update the radio... I would simply delete any benefit of the sprint rom....am I correct?
