This is Prolly Stupid....
 

I have the app: Vito SMS-Chat.....and when I first got/installed the app everything was working great, meaning that when I would pull up a existing chat or even make a new chat my keyboard would come up in the XT9 mode...well all of a sudden out of no where last night it started acting up, and the keyboard will load up in abc mode now ALL THE TIME, I know that this isn't some major issue but it is something that is just annoying the hell out of me... I have tried:

Uninstall, soft reset
Reinstall, soft reset

Doesn't seem to help!

I have also looked in the settings just about anywhere and everywhere I can look..

Does anyone have any ideas?

well that s how is suppose to come up on default abc then you can change it to what ever..but i see you have the touch...thats why i didn't go with that and got the mogul...just throwing that at you...hahaha

haha...yeah yeah I know...kinda pissed at myself about it too...

Well the odd thing though is that, after first installing it, the keyboard was staying on XT9 instead of defaulting back to abc, and it would do that with the older sms threader I was using also.

go to settings then imput see if there's anything you can do or something about default setting.in the sms i checked and theres nothing about keyboard function so you may have to go to imputs..

yeah done that also, there is settings in there that can be changed, but nothing along the lines of like changing the default input type of abc, 123, or XT9...Who knows maybe it is a little kink and will work its way back to how it was? haha or maybe it was in a kink, and worked itself out?

you can always go with a different after market keyboard there are many to choose from and than use SIPChange and make that your default at all times.

yeah I could do that its just that the only other keyboard I think is even worth anything is Happy Tapping, and its actually really close to 'touch keyboard' and the 'touch keypad' with its normal phone feel, and large buttons on Xt9 makes it a breeze to type fast...Plus everything i have read with people having problems with after-market keyboards, those smalls things would drive me crazy...Like to have cool things, but still want them organized and stable haha..

yeah for sure the only one i use is happy tapping and have been for round 6 months without problems.

lol crazy, i use the touch keypad on my mogul when writing really long emails to work and I have trouble getting it to t9 when i pull up th keypad, it always starts at abc lmaoooo....whats so nice about happy tapping keyboard? does is have t9?

really nothing special about it...just a really stable full keyboard...Something like 'Touch Keyboard'

You really wouldn't have the need for t9, its a full keyboard...And I was going to run it and see if it would do the predictive texting for ya, but I forgot I uninstalled it last night...Try it out, here is a repost for ya hosted offa RapidShare. Also please post up the results if you would so that way others that might read this can find out also...THANKS

its like the stock one that takes up just under half the screen....
