This is the thread for nueROM 2.1, based on WM 6.1 release.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. FLASHING THIS ROM MAY/WILL RUIN YOUR DEVICE.

I consider this the bleeding edge build. If you prefer something known to be stable, please consider build 5060, the last known stable build.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

THE ONLY OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED KITCHEN IS THE PPCGEEKS KITCHEN. If you have an existing installation, you can update using provided basekits. Find the official kitchen at: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22132. The basekit for 2.1 roms will not be released until most of the bugs have been fixed.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

ummmmmm look at the date got released today so no. im running my custom rom in the one video that isnt released yet and than the last stable build of this that i tried which was 5058 which you can find by going to the ftp link in this post and knocking out that version.

so is this an alltel build or am I reading that wrong. Since I am not familir with all of their roms seeing as though I have only flashed 3 times, is this one more current than my dcd 3.0.1 or is it basically the same thing?

lol he has 4 builds already with this lol... where have you been kaos..... but yeah anyways he ditched it for the new radio and all that he wanted to use that is supposed to be better than the sprint one. i havent tried out yet since im happy with the sprint radio myself.

it gives me perfect signal when and when not roaming so why change from a good thing when i dont know how the alltel radio will react.

now I dont understand the alltel radio does not allow gps though so why would you switch or am I lost now and talkin a bunch of giberish

the radio doesnt deal with the gps thats a whole different story. the gps settings are in the nbh file of the rom and that enables the gps receiver to be activated.

well then how do you know which ones have it enabled and which dont....man might have to start a new thread considering none of the posts have any concerns of this rom...lol

the only rom that has it enabled is the sprint rom thats why you have to flash to that first to be able ot have 6.1 that is gps enabled...... copies that over.

gotcha i just thought you had to have the radio...so i guess if i flashed back to a stock alltel rom i would lose gps even if i had the radio still?...glad we clarified that so i wont make that mistake

been waiting to flash this all day! I get home after driving through a hail storm, load on comp and hook up to flash and didnt have enough juice(tornado sirens now going off) got enough battery life just got to the start up screen. Will comment in next couple of days on how this is. Coming off kaos remember im with alltel so I prefer alltel builds......see ya soon:PDT_Armataz_51:

one thing i can not figure out is how to sync my email. with a stock rom it would bring up the hotmail link and i would go from there, now its always asking me to sign into windows live and not letting me have the sync options so that when i am on my home screen in my email box i can always check it without having to sign in. so far i like the rom verry very basic no extras like on kaos which is alright if you dont mind adding all the extras!

Hey Dash, I downloaded this file and went to extract it and it says corrupt RUU file. It won't extract, is there a problem with this file?

Dash, I'm running the latest rom Alltel just released with the new radio 3.37. It's ok, but I find I'm runnung out of memory now and it can be slow. Will this ROM be a faster better rom to run or what do you recommend buddy. Take care Dash.

Sorry Dash, I see you responded, but it looks like you didn't say anything. Is there a way I can get this file? the one I downloaded from the FTp is corrupt

i dont have it since ii dont use it and redownload i just downloaded and works fine for me when taking out the nbh file and inserting into the RUU folder.

Dash, I flashed this ROM and I love it so far. It has been very stable and I've had no problems at all. If I could suggest one thing to make it better, I'd recommend leaving all the preloaded pics and themes out of it as I don't use those. This would save more memory and make it that much better, other than that I'm happy with it. Thanks Dash and keep up the good work buddy.

Hey dash, back on the first page, I beleive the 2nd or 3rd post when asked about a youtube vid, you said "im running my custom rom in the one video that isnt released yet", I was wondering what the status of your custom rom was, did it succeed or did you abandon the project, I know theres alot of work that goes into these roms, I am running Kaos take 2 and so far so good. I was hoping to try yours when it was released, I realize you have countless things to do and maintaining Wckediden is a by far a full-time job and then some. I dont want to rush perfection, I was just curious, and maybe if its not too top secret you could hint some of the build list thus far.You and the rest of the guys here at Wckediden keep me coming back I almost shed a tear when you tested us and said you were gonna leave.

lol naw as said before it is only going to be released and put on the modding service customers phones..... sorry bro not gonna be released anywhere else.... and there are a couple threads already on this so please seatch in the future and posdt in the correct area since this is on nuerom and not mine. lol yea dash and others are great, but as the rom goes, dash has listed that it will not be a public release but only for customers who's phones he mods out. and i believe he has another one coming out soon but i also think it will be a private release to staff....but who knows whats going on in that head of dashs lol
