HTC 6800 Bell phone
I noticed most of the posts that upgrade the ROMS to 6.1 or whatever are mostly American providers like Sprint Alltel etc.
I have a stock HTC 6800 from BELL and do not want to so called brick it. I do want GPS and REV A enabled but also get the latest ROM you guys have tweaked.. this is why I subscribed it seems you guys were the best in the business for the community. I simply need not a tutorial because I obviously will search the forums for it but I just need warning steps like... What loader to use Do not do this because you are with BELL...... DO this because it is a BELL provider phone....... Make your PRL this....... lock or unlock it this way......... use this loader only...etc I am just fearful of doing it wrong and bricking it lol.. Thanks guys!:smile_mini2: |

Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
Ok Sooo from what I read so far in your tutorials......
I will follow the Mogul steps of flashing a custom ROM to a stock ROM (I have HTC 6800 BELL) I heard you (Dash) say the best performing custom ROM so far is Kaos's **** Sprint Custom rom Build 420 Take 2. I'm guessing this will work for BELL as well. Is there any other ROM you suggest? I simply want the Rev A and GPS and fastest performing operating system with the least bugs. I will try your Internet tweak thing after but yeahh.....for now I want to basically go with the most stable. My ROM and radio version are: ROM v 2.13.666.0 Radio v 1.37.00 I will hard reset before I flash it. Please reply before I Flash thanks |

Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
The hard SPL says in the DOS window to disconnect and reconnect when in 3 color screen but then it asks to disconnect and reconnect again.
The updater screen pops up but the checklist says to make sure you are connected to ativesync. There is no connection it just says not connected. Can I still run the updater? Or just run the romupdateutility.exe file from the RUU and do not touch anything on the updater screen? |

Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
Ok I'm stuck on the red green blue screen. I seem to have run the updater but it went too fast so I know it did not load the file.
I think I had the double click on the ROMUpdateUtility.exe in the folder to run the updater not use the updater that just popped up. How do I get out of this screen as a locker or hard reboot will not work anymore. ... thanks for help btw Im sure I will get through this. |
Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
I ran the updater and it went quick I dont think it was pointing to the file. I guesss I didnt double click on the ROMUpdateUtility.exe in the RUU folder.
So now Im stuck on that screen and trying to connect with the unlocker and sometimes get connected but it will not load the new ROM it gets an error saying check your connection when it says USB |

Ok I was able to load the Kaos rom but now stuck on the guy holding up middle finger on the screen. It does nothing. I know you said go to the old version but is not possible I kept getting could not connect. So now I am trying to put the RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4 350H_SPCS_AM_Ship.exe and stuck on verifying information on PDA phone

Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
I was able to load a DCD ROM its supposed to be BELL I also had the SPRINT 3.5 on there. Both had issues with data but calls were working. BELL seems to have an issue with their latest patch with connecting to Internet. How do I get the original ROM again or something that BELL users have because I def need Internet lol.
PS I did get the PRL info set in the device... XDAdevelopers had it. |

Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
IOTA CAB?
I did alot of research and it seems that I need the A-Key as it is erased or written over when I loaded the Sprint ROM. Alot of stuff was written over in the MSL settings lol I read that if you go back to the Stock BELL ROM you will get all that back. (Not the recent update in April that fixes BT Radio etc.) Yes the full starting ROM . BIG question..... How can I get this start new ROM? Also I did not see any real good instructions on how to use the unlocker and locker. I flashed as soon as the unlocker said something about SP ram .... What do they do? |

Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
Yeah I wasn't looking for the update. I wanted the old original version.
Rumors say that there will be an update to fix the last update they had that screwed up alot of Bell users data connectivity. I hope this new update will fix my issue as well. |
Re: HTC 6800 Bell phone
Do you think if I go to my MSL settings ##778#...MSL enter..... If there is a setting I can put in there?
How can I get my A Key? Anything I need in there to authenticate with bell when trying to get my data back on my phone? |
