HTC Diamond theme for HTC Home
 

I'd like to know what you think about this theme!

Install :
- deactivate the HTC Home plugin
- copy the pics in the Windows folder
- activate the HTC Home plugin
- make "Wallpaper.png" your wallpaper
- use UI Tweaker if you want to have the black bars

i am having issues getting the theme to work. am i putting the images in the /windows folder or am i puttin them in HTC Home Clock folder. thanks for any assistance.

did you follow the steps it isnot hard.


1. download zip file
2. install the cab in there
3. uncheck htc home from start/settings/personal/today/items
4. copy and overwrote the htc home folder on the / root of your card
5. set wallpaper with 0% transparency as your background/wallpaper
6. DONE.|

no i didnt get it to work. i didnt have a cab file in my install folder... just picture files.

huh try this version i got it from dwizzy over at ppcgeeks and this is the version that i use.... ifound that i didnt need to install the home plugin sinc ei had it all you have to do is this.

1. put the picture files on your storage card.
2. double click pictures than options than set as background with transparency at 0%
3. diable htc home plugin
4. replace the htc home folder by overwriting.......
5. recheck the htc home plugin
6. DONE.|

It doesnt work on HTC Kaiser (tytn2) because i "haven't permissions" to replace files

i got it to work dashs way but i cant seem to get the black background. when i hold down it doesnt give me the option to set as today background. =(

best thing to do is open the file up through pictures and videos up... the from there set it as background and make sure transparnecy level is 0

im not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but does this theme make is so it has the same interface as shown in dash's youtube video of it? like the start bar being able to expand etc.:smile_mini2:

no... that is a separate app, as most stuff is. Then name of that app is called quick menu. So i search for it!

Where is the /root folder that I need to overwrite the Home folder in and where do I put the cab?!?!

there is no cab you need thehome plugin and than home customizer and than overwite the htcfolder like it says.

any way to make it a 24 hour clock? or would that be more difficult then just changing some settings?

Hey guys I have a question..if you copy the files (overwrite) you will loose the originals correct? I am running the HTC home customizer, I am actualy creating a diamond folder on each Category, weather, Icons and Clock. So far so good.

does the cab file have anything to do with the folding animation for the clock?

just wondering.

its all included in the folder there is no cab just files you need to overwrite!!! its just clocks and all that you can gt back by switching the clock tabs and all through the customizer.

ok then...well I just added another type under Diamond to the clocks, I did not want to loose the original clock just in case.

you use resco explorer just as you would with the default file explorer on ur phone. you replace files but just overwriting them. copying the new files over the old files wherever it says u r to.

resco will allow you to overwrite the files..... if for some reason it wont (jew ran into this prob) try an app called total commander.

thanks. is there a way to replace all the files at once? because right now... i have to replace it one by one and its taking forever :S edit: i got it to work. but there is no contact button and the time squares isnt there. also, there is no music button. why?

ecasue you didnt overwrite all the files!!!!!! highlight them all and copy and paste and overwrite all files dont do one by one than soft reset.

i did do that!!!! i click select all files. theni copied it to windows!!!! but it doesnt work. omg. is there a way to like.. add the button or something?

thats cause u r copying the files to the wrong place.. it it didnt ask u to oveerwtite the files then its not in the correct place.. HTC Home folder!

I am trying to install this on HTC PPC 8600 for us cellular but when I do this I get half screen diamond and half screen original home screen (task bar,calender bar, etc) did I miss step somewhere??? I do not do know what I did wrong

yes I did but it is still the same, do I have to unlock my phone for it to work correctly, I tried to install the manilla version but it did the same thing but with that one I kept getting errors and would not work, when i would click on a tap it kept giving me an error
