Time delay between incoming call and ring
I dont know where I read this and I can't seem to find it again...i think it was somewhere on PPCGEEKS...but someone had mentioned that the phone checks every 5 seconds if there is an incoming call and so sometimes if an incoming call is placed right after your phone checks then the caller can have 2 rings before the PDA starts ringing on our end. I guess there was a way to change this 5 second interval to like 1 or 2 so that this does not occur.
Of course it doesnt happen every time because the call could come in at the same time the phone is checking and so you would get the ring much sooner, but it would suck to loose a call because someone calling let it ring 4 times and you couldnt get to it till your 3rd ring (callers 5th) |

Re: Time delay between incoming call and ring
Remember with the whole getting RevA enabled??
I was able to get into the settings tho using the 000000 as my MSL...then I went under the Modem Settings Tab and it said Slot Cycle Index (2)...I will change to 0 and see if it makes a difference. So now I am confused?? How come it let me in using 000000 ? That cant be my MSL number....And I cant find anything in any of those edit menus related to RevA |
