I got several e mails requesting for the WVGA version of warcraft 2 as seen at:

I believe there are a few WVGA versions on XDA, and i tried them, and i've no idea what he did but damn that was laggy and choppy. rest assured this isnt the same file, and its smooth and perfectly playable.

I've gone thru every lua file and updated and made sure of its 100% playable, smooth and fast.



UPDATE: Argh crap i just noticed the in game is still VGA with the bottom blackened out. Gimme a while i'll look for a solution.

UPDATE 2: Pfft found out the problem, i left out some tilesets. Reuploading now, but i aint gonna wait, gonna sleep. Sucky upload speed. Will be ready at most in 24 hours. Check back soon. (its done already yay)

UPDATE 3: Working on recompiling the exe to show a proper Warcraft 2 icon. (its done already yay!)

UPDATE 4: Recompiled Warcraft 2 icon AGAIN, giving it a sharper icon worthy of WVGA screens. (its done already yay!)

DOWNLOAD LINK NOW AVAILABLE:
Unzip folder into your device and run. DO NOT unzip anything else like the campaigns etc. Just the main folder.
Remember game takes about 15-30 second to start. So dont click it twice. Just extract anywhere and run Warcraft 2

Dash I download the rar. file and then did the unrar like you said.... Got the game to load up but once i try to start a mission or created it kicks me back to the main screen ?

don't get me wrong Dash is a king of kings on here...but don't ask him questions on things that others post, untill you consult with that original threader...and please don't ask anybody else for that matter until you consult with original threader, because they may have never played game or ran app. before....BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, sometimes you have to soft reset after you first copy onto your ppc...but I will be posting vid soon that shows a quick example of how to unrar on pc and paste onto phone and you get to see the program working on my mogul

what is a .7z file? are we suppose to rename it to .zip or .rar?

you don't need anything special...just unrar it as you would any zip file...I have with no issue

Extracted the .7z file and copied the directory to my storage card.
ran on an HTC Touch WM 6.1
Game runs, your peon is tiny and moves slow, no sound.
Remember this is a PC game converted to PPC. Its ment to be played with a mouse.
I loved the pc warcraft games, neat but i just couldnt force myself to play the game longer then 10 seconds.

well yeah because when you donwload the file you will see a read me or nfo file inside the zip file...... .we have set thats how all releases will be and inside those files it will give you step by step details of how to install.

i looked at the folder and at the first post and it tells you whast to do.... unrar the zip folder on your pc. take the correct (eithjer vga or qvga) and run the exe on your phone.

ok well I got this game installed and it does run. Its seemed like the wvga worked better less clear but the screen to touch alignment was alot better. So I played for about 10 minutes was having a great time then me and the gf had to head out so I went to save well.... Well on the Touch Pro even though it has a keypad it doesnt register the keys so I couldnt save my game :( But other than that it ran great nothing beats a peon saying "zug zug" takes me way back.

is it possible to install this directly to your phone? i don't have a pc. i'm on a mac. i have pocket rar on my phone. i tried extracting it with that. but i don't think it's working.

yes.... this is a windows mobile game.... if you talking becasue it is an exe file than no you wont be able to without a cab file....... jsut place the exe on your card and plug the usb in and choose the option disk drive and drag it over to that computer than install.

than as i stated above you are SOL. just go do it at the library or at the local bestbuy lmao.... easiest way to do it and if they ask what you are doing just say im a mac guy testing out the windows world and wanted to see how the performance on the card reading mechanism was speed wise since thats an important part of a computer to you.... trust me i have done it while my computer was down before and it always works and they leave you the hell alone too :)

i can borrow a pc at work in that case. can i connect directly from the pc to my phone? i have sprint. and the sprint version doesn't have a memory card.

Works on Touch Pro. I tried running both exes.
The VGA version seems to have a wayward mouse calibration. The QVGA is a bit more precise.

hey guys, i need alil help. so i downloaded this and extracted it to my sdcard. i try to installed the exe file using my pc, but i get a "this is not a valid windows application" error when trying to install, i try straight running the exe file straight from the phone, and even thou it works, everything is blurry. well not blurry to be exact, but is like all the screens alternate quickly between eachother, so you cant see what you are doing. any ideas, or can someone please cab this up?

it should work just fine if you are using this on ur touch pro...I have not played this game for some time, but I still had it on my mirco sd card so I searched for it and ran the executable file and it ran quite fine and smooth for me...don't know what you are doing wrong...and of course it won't work through pc because it is not a pc install file but rather a executable file which just runs right from jump on ppc device...just make sure u run the appropriate file for VGA as instructed in thread!

i did run the right one bro, i even tried both, lol. but i was running mightyr3born, so now that im back on ATR3v2 i will try it again. but as a side note, it DID run, it just ran like 20 screens at a time, like statically to be precise. will report back thou.
