-Now added the correct skin files, so the zoom slider works (bottom left corner, NOT the invisible slider on the right)
-Now set the default homepage to Google mobile
-Now removed the limitation to save files to "internal storage"
-Enabled real exit
-Increased cache size
-Flashlite 3.1 works!


No further hacks are performed, tweak it as you wish using opera:config in the URL bar!

Suggestions:

• When using "landscape mode" and the screen is switched to the wrong side (probably happens when your device has a hardware keyboard), go to User Prefs -> Keyboard Orientation -> and enable it.

• If you want to disable the redirection to the mobile version of a webpage, go to User Agent -> Spoof User Agent ID -> and set to 2. Also go to User Prefs -> Custom User Agent -> and press Default, to make this blank.

• User Prefs -> Notify about done download -> enable (notifies you when a download is finished)

• User Prefs -> Turbo Mode -> enable (draws images instantly)

• User Prefs -> Automatic RAM Cache -> enable (didn't notice any difference, but it sounds good)

Hey Mike,
Do you know if this is removable w/o problems(some couldn't be removed w/o a hard reset). The other problem I've always ran into with Opera 9.5 was it seemed to have a problem occasionally with downloading other items. Does this version also take over as the default browser w/o the ability to put or difficult time putting pie back as primary. These are just a few of the questions I could think of that makes me want to hold off. If these have been resolved then I'll bite once again (I've tried 3 or 4 different versions) :D Thank you for the program and I appreciate any of this knowledge on these questions.

1.yes its removeable
2.yes it becomes your primary browser, and cant be changed unless you uninstall, but after you do PIE works fine
3.Ive never had problems downloading on this one, ive downloaded, apps, music, copied pics and all flawless

this is the best build so far, lighter feeling, smoother, great zoom and text adapting automatically, the onscreen keyboard issue is fixed, and my favorite, FULL Wckediden SITE on my Touch finally!!!! with working side menu and search :yahoo:

what im always asking myself... i know that the final build isnt finished yet and i know that opera is aware of skyfire, my question is... is opera holding out on the flash player9 for its final build??? cuz now that skyfire is taking all the hype and proved that it was possible, opera is obligated to step it up before its dethroned, i seriouslly believe that opera mobile eventually will have flash as well, and if it does, skyfire will be crushed

I agree, I think SkyFire is great, but you can't DL, upload, open other Tabs, it gets shut down when connection is lost, etc. Don't mean to make this about SkyFire :), but I think Opera will push for that top spot... we shall see ;)

word... seriouslly if Opera pulls this off (which most probably they will) i can throw my pc out the window cuz i have no further use for it, i even managed to make new threads, and even upload attachments here in Wckediden, myspace, rapidshare etc. in Opera Mobile lol

Man I have the Skyfire beta and it suck IMO this version of Opera plays YouTube on my phone but I installed Htc Streamer and its great

huh there is mixed responses on skyfire..... mine works liek a dream and couldnt ask for anything more....... runs smooth and fast and the video isnt choppy at all.... i love the beta 2 more than the beta 1 even!!!! :yahoo:

Can Beta 2 now DL, upload, and some of the other things it was missing in Beta 1. If so, then that's freakin' great :D Password Wand like Opera would make life easier. I'm wondering if you could install Beta 2 and have Beta 1 username and password and still have access, because it's all the same database. Things that make you go hmmm :) lol

wow. i always used pie plus/ie, i never used opera on my touch eventhough i have it on my home pc. i must say I AM THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED!! Way 2 go Mike! *Big kisses to you* Im a full Opera gurl now lol.

Known bugs:
Keyboard pop-ups with flash player installed.

Anyway to change the path for IE (IE icon on the sprint cube) so that it opens Opera? With the installation, the IE icon now gives me an error reading that it cant open the sprint power deck page. Thanks.

Has anyone had success running a 9.5 build on a mogul? I tried build 1409 for the heck of it but could never get it to run stable. Usually ran out of memory within the first page or 2, and it took forever to render pages.

i have a touch and works great cuz memory is no issue, for a mogul you can try kaos take 3 rom that has way more memore than the rest to see if it runs better or you can try opera mini ehich is a lot lighter and faster

this happen to anyone else? when i open the new opera i get no splash no boot screen for the program, its just a blank white square but its showing that it is loading. the app works fine just that start up is weird

actually, no bro, there are some sweet new graphics in this build, looks great!!!!!
the first thing i noticed is that the sip change looks like it doesnt work off the bat, you must change to your third party on screen keyboard when you open the app if you want to use it cuz it opens the stock one automatically, and it stays in text wrap mode even in overview mode, details that hopefully will be fixed in the next beta

even with those details its still the best one so far, smooth flick scrolling, quite faster, but still a memory hog

Like the builds before this they were all labeled as "uninstallable" which i took as meaning they can be removed not my term LOL!!!

this is AWESOME but there are two problems.
1)HOw do you view Wckediden in like a PC
2)I cant get my keyboard to stay, it always switches back to the stylus one on it own
