HTC Diamond WeatherPanel Theme
 

HINT.......... THROTTLELAUNCHER!!!!!!!!!!!! :yahoo:

Here's my first attempt at releasing a WeatherPanel theme. I tried to make it look as close as possible to the HTC Diamond's weather application. Tapping on the centre of the screen will bring up the detailed weather report as well as control buttons to gain access to Setup, Update, Radar Images, 6-Day Forecast, and Charts. Tapping on the centre again will return to the simple Diamond weather screen.

NOTE: In the screenshots WeatherPanel is running inside UltimateLauncher where the Diamond header and navigation bar are (i.e. they are not part of my WeatherPanel theme)


At this point there are no animations but since WeatherPanel does support animated PNGs (MNG) I may look into trying to replicate the Diamond weather animations once I get some more free time (in the mean time...if someone can point me to a link that shows what each of the diamond weather animations look like that would be a great start for me!)

To install:
1. Copy "Manila Icon" folder into your WeatherPanel\Icons folder on PPC
2. Copy "MyManila WP" folder into your WeatherPanel\Themes folder on PPC
3. Copy fonts into Windows\fonts folder of PPC
4. If you want the diamond background, use the included Diamond.tsk today theme
5. In WeatherPanel options;
a) set Theme="MyManila WP",Layout="MyManila WP.wpl", Icon Set="Manila Icon"
b) select "Update Time"
c) clear "Don't Display Arrows"

works like a dream in throttlelauncher!!!!!!!!!!! all we need i a full screen music tab and we are set (screenies)

This is a great theme. I have one question though. How did you get that image of Toronto? When I go into the images under Buffalo it is empty? Is there anyway to get screenshots like you have? Thanks!

its how you set it up and tyou have to skin it with the skin attached.... and he is in PR not canada bro

Settings then highlite the city then edit. Then weather images, then add new and you will have to input a webpage unless your city has one associated with it. Then save all that and reload and you should be good

hey bro,

i know this is for the throttle launcher; but i was wondering if there is a way u can make this weather theme for the Swcked Mobile Shell 2.1 (im using diamond theme) it would be awsome. thanks

well you cant add to that but this can be used with marsware weather panel..... you dont need throttle laucnher this is just a skin that works nicely with the diamond theme

Ok so i downloaded the weatherpanel program and am using the throtellauncher i copied all files need to in right folders...except the weather panel dll file i draged and dropped into weather panel and it disapears...when i try registering it... i use the reg code that was in the link and it says my owner name has to match when first registrd....i went back to weather panel to click on the weather pannel dll and it was not there...basiclly when i scroll to weather on my throtle launcher nothing comes up...i copied all files where they needed to go and did the weather panel options...set u the city i live in but when i click on weather panel nothing comes up...please help

is there a way someone can send me the link to download the weatherpanel program, so that i can drop the files into it? i tried one called "Marsware" but it didnt have the icons and themes folder, is that right?

go to the throttle launch config and than add it.... theres a spot for plugins and weather tab.

didnt see the link posted, but i will download that "Marsware" again, but like i said i never saw anything or folder for a spot to drag the files to.. i di see "dll" but thats it!

bro its in there there is more to an app than a dll file trust me..... you are installing the phone correct??????? and not jsut looking for it on your computer correct?

when i click on the weather icon and the music icon nothing comes up...how do i get that to work like the pics above.....i downloaded the weather pannel and also put files in correct folders but it still dosnt wrk.....please help is there a certain plug in i need or maybe a setting i need to fix...............

Make sure the proper plugins are checked under Start/setting/today/items tab!

hey bro yeah i found it thanks, what it was was that i installed it onto my storage card so i went under there and found program files there, i then went into it and tried to copy/drag the "manill icon" folder to it but it WOULDNT POST!!.? any clues of why

probably because it is installed on the storage card and not the main memory.

throttle launcher now supports plugins, so you just have to have WP installed and set it as your weather plugin on TL. then follow the directions of the 1st post...if you have any trouble, pm and i will help...GOOD LUCK!!!

go to throttle config and than add the shortcut where it says google since thats where he gets it from to the shortcut of the app and you will be golden.
