hate my wing
 

Ok, i know you all have heard this a million times but i hate my wing.. just got it and was gonna return it and get something else but scuffed the edge so they wouldnt let me return it. Anyway.. i like the phone...but i HATE how slow it is. I have done a few of the registry tweaks to see if it helped but im not noticing a difference. If i switch to 6.1 instead of 6.0 will that help? if it will which rom should i download and can u point me to the best thread to show how to do it? im pretty quick on figuring things out, im just scared im gonna do some perm damage and right now this is my only phone so no backup. Any help would be great. Another question is i heard that my wifi wont work if i take off the internet package.. is this true? i dotn use it enough to justify paying for it so i wanted to know if i could still have access to wifi if needed.

not siure on the net since im not gsm will have to wait for someone else there.... but yea 6.1 will make it a bit quicker.....

i cant stand that i slide to open or close and it takes the phone 5 seconds sometimes to fully catch up.. horrible. what a pos lol i was with sprint had a treo650 and sprint pissed me off so i decided this was the way to go.. the treo was so much more stable and faster. ok.. well what do i need to do to change to 6.1? is there a good thread to show this? i mean i need to flash.. but how do i go about all this.. havnt done this before. thanks dash

we have a rom section from the side menu with wing roms that include instructions on flashing. or xda-developers is a good place for the wing aka herald.

i flashed my buddys wing to a clean open touch rom off of the xda site and it works and runs flawless. i used the uspl to unlock it read up on it and you will understand. and just search for the open touch rom its dope and even though its clean still has many extras.

i just got the Touch-IT v2.0 rom on and its allright.. i dont notice a huge improvement from it. I am using BatteryStatus.0.04 and have it oc'd at 247, traying to stay safe. Does anyone recomend another rom that would be smoother?

I'm using open touch V3 lite and im not having any issues with it being slow. This rom leave u about double the amount of storage and program memory available compared to the factory rom. Oh and it has the over clocking app also. Whats your available program memory with that rom?

i put ASERG.12.WM6.1E.WWE rom on my wing earlier.. its awesome.. lovin it. BUT how do i enable data connection? its set to default normally and i dont see where to turn it on.

Was up everybody well i am using open touch 3.o wm 6.1 build biggy and so far its been working really well, very fast and smooth....gives u about 34 MB of device memory and about 26 Mb of free RAM....lol (not as much as u could get on a mogul but for a wing i'd say dats pretty dam good) lol
