update on mogul ram upgrades
 

The guys that were selling the ram upgrades for the mogul stopped doing so, mainly because of how difficult installation it is. I got this update from the guys at ppcgeeks, they advised me that it will be worth it to just wait for the touch pro to be released, cause it is easy to brick your phone trying to do so, so props to dash for getting his mogul working with this! But unfortunatly, the vendor will not be releasing the ram chips any more :( ....

Is or was, i guess, there more than one option for the ram upgrade or was there solely the one chip. And should i happen to find one for sale somewhere out in cyberspace what do you think are my chances of getting detailed instructions on installation?

well i still got pics and all but im not gonna give steps for the mere fact i dont want people coming at me if they mess up with the soldering or summtin.....

understandable. even when you give people what they want for free without asking for anything in return it won't take 2 seconds to put the blame back in your direction if they don't receive the desired outcome. Maybe you know of a site that highlights and explains a step by step of sorts?

It cant get much easier to get around at Wckediden. Our board is setup wayy eaiser then xda-developers or PPCGeeks. I dont know what else to tell you!

i dont have any step by steps but i do have before and afters that i could reup to the site and all..... not that it would be much help and all..... asnd there is no site out tere since from what i know of im the only person in the world!!! :yahoo:

Hell ya!!! i've been building my own pc's since i was about 11 and if you wouldn't mind posting those before\afters hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. And i know what you mean when you say that this is the sight to be at. I've googled mogul sights for longer than i care to remember looking for a good one and now i have www.wckediden.com as my homepage!!!!! Thanks in advance!

sorry to bother you but i finally found one and it should be here pdq and was wondering if you had found those pics. I'm overly anxious to perform mogul surgery and do what they should have done in the first place and wouldn't have really cost them a thing. Actually if you think about it, sales would probably have been nominal

Right...In the time it took you to come up with that witty remark (which I'm guessing for you was quite some time), you could have easily posted the pics. Wouldn't want to take any time away from your rewarding mall security guard career though. I figured I'd give you one last shot at redeeming yourself, but I can see now that it was a wasted effort.
