As a shell Winterface removes the necessity to turn to default Windows Mobile interface: Today screen and Start menu. Winterface opens instantly whenever users draw a simple gesture on the screen. It allows users to have as many screens as they need and put on them icons for applications, settings and contacts. The screens are flipped through with sliding finger gestures. The icons for such applications as phone, sms, email, battery, clock, calendar, memory, etc. - all show relevant information and thus replace a number of Today plug-ins.

I never tried the 1.0 version, but I'm have the same issues with 1.01 that others had in the 1.0 thread. It overrides the other screen lock programs, and there's no way to completely shut it off like you can with Goodwin. Even after stopping it, it opens right back up once your phone goes to sleep. The interface was very slick, and much closer to the Iphone than Grumps or Ifonz. I like how the pages slide like the Iphone's compared to other Iphone clone programs where the screen transitions to the next page. It also didn't cause my Touch to lock up when I received a call from sleep mode like Goodwin would. The thing that really bothered me though is that it was hell removing it from my phone. After uninstalling it, it still left stuff in the registry and files on my phone. My phone started bogging down like I was running low on memory and would lock up. I removed the registry values, but i couldn't delete the folder. I kept getting an error message saying powerdaemon.exe was still in use. I had to use Pocket Mechanic and move the folder to my storage card and soft reset. Only then was I able to fully remove Winterface. All in all, I've always liked Vito's programs (I use FunContact and Goodwin and used to use SMS-Chat before making the upgrade to WinMo 6.1) and this is definitely a step in the right direction, but I think I'll wait until they make a few more revision before I try it again.

not for nothing but you can remove anything from safemode.....many programs offer it..

Its updated to 1.02 but its still not any good because when you swipe across it loads......so any time you on the internet and swipe across it pops up.......it could be a now little app if it could be mapped to a button but all in all its a ifonz rip with photo contacts IMO

I am curious, in another thread (I think it's the Winterface 1.0 thread) Dash mentioned he was close to cracking the 1.02, but that was a while ago. The Touch Mods Staff Picks still points to this thread (1.01). Is the cracking of 1.02 still in a queue to be done, or has that been dropped? Also, it's listed along with UL and S2U2, does that mean it has been configured by others to work well with these two programs, or would this be suggested as a replacement for either?

thats jsut a suggested and yes they willl work together and that was just a couple days ago i have a life too bro i will get done soon prolly by tomorrow gnight or so because i got 4 days off coming up after i get out at 11 tonighjt!!!! :yahoo:

D'oh! You're right of course, I'd looked at the wrong date (the initial post date, not the last comment date), sorry Dash! If I'd noticed that I wouldn't have brought up the 1.02 crack, and congrats on the 4 days! Enjoy the mini-vacation. As always, I love this place.

Theres a version 1.1 can some please get this......the way you swipe the screen is finally fixed and I want it bad please someone get this....

No problem BTW I tried the demo of ver. 1.1 and its a lot better but still need work
