Mogul running way too slow
 

So since yesterday, my mogul has been running so slow. I havent added any new programs or really done anything to it for the past couple of days. I am able to use the phone part fine and navigate through my weather, music, contacts tabs, etc with no problems. However, when I go to my programs tab and try to open up any app or anything the load time is litterally like 60 sec and once Im in something like HTC home customizer i takes forever to click the tabs and change around the settings.

I have little apps running on my phone and have like 16-18 or program memory at any given time, so thats not the problem. I'm running the stock ROM 3.35.651.2.

I've had no problems with my phone at all until yesterday...
Any ideas? comments? support? Cuz shits wack

i honestly hated the stock rom when i had it. Ever since i loaded custom roms they have been so much better on performace. After working with roms and such there are a lot of registry edits involved in making performance better. One of the bigger ones that i have noticed it changing the value of

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\Glyphcache\limit to 16384... also try changing
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\Cac hSize to 4096... and...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\Ena bleCache to 1

but ultimately i recommend switching to a faster rom.

yea thanks, those registry edits helped out the performance a bit, but my programs still are loading slow and once they have loaded i cant even use them, because they glitch up. Now my navigation program is giving me a communication error screen and wont even boot up. Im gonna go ahead and flash a custom rom on here, but I dont understand why my phone was working perfectly fine yesterday and can't even perform simple tasks today.

word bro i hear ya, i havent really run into this issue much, but if you flash and are still having issues, i would just bring it to a sprint repair center and see what they can do for it, cause at that point it HAS to be the hardware malfunctioning. :)

Ok I'll give it a try. I was just concerned if it ended up being a hardware issue, they wouldn't look at my phone and just say that it was my fault because I modded it and threw a custom ROM on there, but thanks for the help man.

half the techs wont even know what a custom rom is. they will do a hard reset, see its still running slow and wonder why the boot icons are weird lookin. and they will give you a new phone.

I think the hard reset might have done the trick, because now everything is running a lot better. I'm just going to wait and see until after I put all the apps back on.

(ALL)ur apps. that might be part of the problem, did u have it loaded to the max with apps...
