Backing up contacts questions....
 

OK, I am new to this pocket pc thing...I am not illiterate with computers, but this little thing is making me feel like I am. I want to upgrade the ROM, however, I am trying to get my contacts backed up in a file so I can see them...

I guess what I would like to do...and you all can tell me if it is possible at all...

I would like to somehow back up the contacts to a sort of csv or spreadsheet type file so I can see them and modify them accordingly, then have the ability to get them back into the mogul....I am thinking I am reaching for something that isnt there....but I am hoping at the same time....

I have PIM back up and have it backed up....but I am worried because this is my ONLY contact list that is current....and I have all but given up on the syncing to outlook or windows live...it never seems to do it right.

Any insight would be welcomed....I may need to have my hand held at first, but I do learn quick once I get over that hump!!!....hehhehe

sync contacts with mail2web. never need a computer to sync contacts again

yea but you can configure mail2web to retrieve any other emails you want to your device via mail2web!

so...Once I get this figured out...THEN I must do the changing of the ROM....how long does it take from start to finish for a virgin?? lol

to install the ROM... Maybe 45min for a nooby depending on what ROM you have now. THATS ONLY FLASHING THE ROM! thats NOT putting the rest of your apps on.

I would be starting off with a virgin phone as well....I have a few hacks in it....but that is about it.....nothing special....just more concerned about the contacts list.....I will be happy if i can get them into mail2web....i just signed up for it now.....just trying to figure out how to transfer from the phone to m2w now.....

was able to get it done a couple days ago....however the posts I did...were poof gone during the server explosion....anyway...I have managed to get them transferred....and I put the new sprint ROM on it...so now I have experienced a ROM upgrade....now I am just reading up on all the other stuff....man the brain hurts...hehehe....thanks tho man!!!
