Am I out of luck?
 

Okay, I just bought a mogul online to upgrade my "side" phone, and the bastard that sold it to me owes sprint $600... is there any way to get a different sequence of numbers that don't point the phone to his account? Or am I stuck? Would this be considered unlocking the phone?

How much did you pay for it? Where did you get it? a site?
Have you tried doing the ESN swap on sprint.com? not sure if it checks accounts or not...
there are ways around it, but they are pretty complex.
you'de have to go in and actually change the ESN.
