Comment: With the official 3rd. release of Schap's Advanced Configuration Tools this is one of the best Configuration Tools for Windows Mobile devices; and it's official free. With this tool you are able to easily tweak your phone in more than 200 ways. This 3rd version has all tweaks from the previous versions and added some extra "Diamond"-configuration options. That doesn't mean it's just for Diamond! You can use it with every WM-device. Using these tweaks you can customize your phone's behaviour in many ways like the User Interface, the Softkey Mappings (as you are not able to easily change them on Diamond), the File Associations and many many more. Diamond user can, for example, apply some more Camera Modes or customize the TouchFlo3D. This link is for your PC. If you want 3.5 for your PPC and you want it outside of a cooked ROM then do this:

Until now you could get NET CF3.5 as default only if you cooked it into a ROM. But I've found the registry setting that can disable the default net CF 2.0 and enable net CF 3.5 as default. There is a noticable increase in speed and it shows on the benchmarks as well. I used to get 1320 on mine now I'm getting 1499 with VBenchmark.

What you need to do:

1. Install NetCF3.5 on your ppc.
2. Open a registry editor, I use Reso Regsitry Editor
3. Goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework (this is usually the first entry
4. When you open this you'll see all the .NET installed version change the DWORD value of 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
5. Change the DWORD value of 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1.
6. Reboot
7.Viola! you have a faster PPC

That might be a little difficult so I will give you a noob friendly version. Just download and run this program from your PC with your Device attached through Activesync and you should be upgraded to .NET 3.5. Install on your Device not the storage card.

Yeah you posted the link for 3.5 for a PC not PPC. They kinda look the same so I can see how.

There seems to be multiple cab versions for different devices, but I do have one that I use on my Tilt (which should cover a good many of you). You can get it here on rapidshare (sorry, that's all I have, but feel free to re-upload it to another site if you wish):

there was a version of this on kaos take 3, which allowed startup animation changes and sounds, which version was that, b/c i dont see that on this version. thanks
