Need help with ROM version
 

im having a hard time finding the answer to my question with searching/reading..

i have a sprint HTC Mogul

my phone has rom version 2.09.651.3 and radio version 1.32.00.

im wanting to upgrade to kaos' hybrid take 3.

i am unclear on a few things. im not sure if i need to flash official roms first and/or update the radio version then flash the kaos.. also im not too sure about the HTC flasher that i found. the usual flashing tools im used to are executable programs. the one i found was from this post (damnit cant post a link) the one called HTCFlasher: Open Source ROM Update Utility (RUU) for HTC devices by IceM/\n


the file i got from there is a DEB file... not sure whats up with that.

i like the site... but im finding it difficult and time consuming to find the programs and files needed to do a simple flash.

moved thread to right area. ok, now to your question. yes, you would have to upgrade/flash to the newest sprint rom. then you can follow the directions in the link in my sig "NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FLASH ROMS?" link is to the right "GO HERE" hehe learn how to flash. if you still have problems, then ask

no bro, you have to go to the htc website and go to support and find the mogul for sprint, and then download the rom which is version 3.56, after u do that im sure you kno how to flash a stock rom!!!!! then whne u do that u need the unlocker which should be located in the learn how to flash link in my sig....after the unlock then u flash to kaos take 3 and boom lol

i got the ROM from the HTC site. im just having a hard time finding the RUU on here. been searching on here since yesterday. im used to modding motorola phones heh. happen to have a link you can post me for the best RUU to use?

hmm..that's odd that you can't see it cuz i see it all fine. maybe you should check your options in the control panel

from me to you...little know secret but......the exe from htc site are nothing more then a ruu fancy packed.....use winrar if you want then extract files....delete the spl and radio and nbh add mine in the folder you extracted too.... click ruu and whaaallla.....boom shakka locka

I guess it really comes down to trying to find the right rom for your phone cause when i type in mogul it comes up with all types of roms I wish it was all just separated so that if i want mogul roms that's what i click on of if someone has a touch they can click on touch roms and there you go. The search button makes it so vague as well when you watch a vid on youtube my impression is thats what I want my phone to look like where can I get that rom and i can never find it.

just go through the description of the rom and that will tell you what it will work for.... dont understand whats so hard about that to tell the truth....

but i will look into making seperate sections for the rom area for you...

just like the video on youtube called Titan AKA Mogul With Ultimate Launcher was looking for that though it was sweet and what i want my phone to look like but can not find it anywhere on here using the search
Don't want to sound like an ass or noob but a little direction is all i am asking for

that rom isnt released as i have said many times its for the mod service customers only.... just add the app ultimate launch..... not hard at all to figure out.

i pull it up easy, do a search in green below the banner!! just search for ultimate launch and you will find.

and what would be the thing called so when you swipe your finger across the box flips to your other programs

So i was reading and I have the ultimate launcher and did all the setting you had on the video onUltimate Launch V 12 [Today plug-in that sets up tabs like a cube etc.
But still can't find the app that you swipe the top and it flips the box to your other apps

dude that is ultimate launcher that does that.....pay with it alittle...its all in the settings... you have to configure it to work the way you like....not hard to do..if you wanted on youtube..or even the thread you got it from..look at the video i made on its setup..look at the screens.... then play with it...

I followed it all and whenever i swip my finger across nothing happens

i finally got the swipe part sorry for being such a pain but i have the date and time owners info message all thoses on the top part how would i get rid of that so that the swipe is on top fully
