Hi there, [im new :D]
Well im getting a tilt and when i looked it all up on reviews i stumbled across the videos about modding it and what not. It looks really cool and i really would like to do it. Ive searched through the site but im not sure if its just cause im exhausted or what. But i have some questions, not a lot, just some.


Usually id find out all of this, or atleast try to, which i did try, but i failed so im really at a bad point and i need help. Anyways...

Okay, for getting these mods onto the phone, do i need to download that ROM first? is there anything to download a rom? like do i have to just download it or do i have to delete things?

if so, do i just download the other apps and soft/hard reset them after?


I just basically want it modded up with the cube, the iphone mod, touchflo, and slide to unlock.
just i need to know where to find these, so could someone post links to it?

or atleast a link to directions for all of this for the tilt.

i know you probably get this a lot, sorry, just im really confused and id appreciate any help!

bro everything you mentioned can be found easilt onm the site by doing a search in green below the banner........ please use it and you will find what you are looking for.... and for the roms you odnt need to have one but it is highly recommended and you can find that and the info on how to flash from the side menu under rom releases.

Welcome to the group.
That is a great list of apps and you will really enjoy the modding. Since I am also a noob in many areas I found the best was to do one app at a time. Get to know it, customizing and such, then pick up a new one. Make use of the search button and the vidoes you find here. Lots of info in those.
Before you know it you will have a rockin phone.

ive searched but i dont really understand the concept.
and i cant really find a post that shows you the steps for doing all of this.

im new to this, so if your getting frustrated im sorry

all i basically need is to know how to put ROMS on and other mods.
and to understand it all..

and for anything else, you can use the green search button found on the top of the page to search for anything else you need

dont worry, you will get the hang of this, its not that hard

you need a tilt spacific unlocker to be able to flash a custom rom on your tilt

the rest of the steps are similar to the mogul and touch, download the ruu folder and place the .nbh from the rom in the folder, run the ruu and follow instructions

Well i have one question, its probably stupid but i gotta know, is the ROM like the program that'll change the interface, like the cube thing?

ok ... its been covered already in other threads... please please please search the other threads b4 asking a question in a thread. now my personal opinion is you should not start flashing any rom until you have read a bit more as there are dangers in absolutly ruining your phone beyond repair very easily if you dont do it right. read read read. also the apps you want are available here simply by searching for them by name in the green search button at the top of the page. you dont need to change your rom to install these. they are: s2u2, ultimate launcher or icube, and go figure touchflo. see you even already know one of the names yourself. i dont want to sound harsh but different people have asked multiple times in this thread and im not sure if you got it. try first search and read, then ask. k boss? happy hunting. let us know if you really cant do somthing. we're here for you.

well thats why im asking now. i did search it up. i am just a little confused on it and i dont want to mess up my phone.

those apps are what i want on my phone but isnt said to recommend that you get the roms first?

oh and believe me, i understand the stress anyone on here would have by having so many people to ask the same thing. i was thinking. once i figure this out, i might make a tutorial thread specifically for the tilt. just depends on how well i learn this

yes yes... i think you can learn it... i just want to make you prepared. read alot. there are a couple more threads over at xda on tilts. even once youve read the first time you flash is gonna be a little scarry. thats why i recommend just getting the programs first and installing them on your device the way it is through cab file. then after if you want to change your entire experience you can see about going custom. its worth it. but make sure your prepared. insurance on your phone can be a lifesaver if your carrier provides it

thanks buddy and to the user there is a thread in my signature for flashing and i stated that if you wanted a tutorial added to the first post on a phone just ask and i will add.... ask in their and i will give you step by step on how to flash.

well i just got my phone and i got a little special thing going on cause i know the guy and i got the 61 version even tho they dont sell that in the store lol
but does that affect anything like do i need a new rom now or no

hate to break the news but the 61 is official on the phone and comes shipped now like that for the newest shipments of the phone

ok 61 is the latest version of windows but if its the stock rom its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring no you dont need a new rom but it is an option thats up to you look around and see if you find anything you like

the home screen doesnt look like the others it has a big clock on it [that should give you the idea of which one it is] and its not like the boring first version

you have no idea what the capabilities are for the phone you have the big clock is the htc home customizer and comes stock for 61 and yes this is still soooooooooo boring dash could we get a link posted for this one so can see some of what he's missing any vid i dont care but i think he called me out show him a custom rom thats up to speed
