cricket internet on mogul
 

i am having a problem with the internet speed on my mogul. i have cricket service its running 6.1 no rev a, i have tried at least 6 or 7 diffrent web browsers. i also have the evdo prl 01050 which is supposed to be the one i need. does anyone know if there is anything i can do to speed up my connection? i have been reading everything i possibly can but i cant seem to find an answer. i was thinking about flasing to a new rom with rev a but i dont know if it will work with cricket?? any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance for any help. (most of the time dial up seems like dsl compared to the speeds i get)

thanx for the fast reply and for trying to help me out i have been on every.site i can find looking for an answer but nothing so far. it seems from what ive seen flashing my rom might do it but im kinda scared to do it. i messed it up once allready and had to send it out to be reflashed (that was 50 bucks and a week) i recently got skyfire but i cant get it to work. it comes up with an error message telling me it cant find my internet connection and i may be in flight mode which i am not, all the other browsers work fine. thanx for the awesome site and all the help you guys offer to all the people who come here. the information is priceless

Well with Skyfire i know for me at my house i dare even try cause of weak signal..... Need real strong signal to get it too work right or it will tell me the same thing can not connect.

i get 3 to4 bars on 1x but no bars on ev it cuts in and out. thanx

have you tryd opera mini? if it where me id go custom.. i had been worried and read posts saying it has bugs but after doing it i havent had MAJOR porblems and now will never go stock again

ive tried opera mini, 9.5 beta, net front, jb5, iris, maxi browser, mini browser 1.1, every one i can find i like some of them but the connection is slow

try skyfire even has built in flash. go to www.skyfire.com and sign up using phelps8

I know skyfire won't work over cricket internet... I had a little bit better speed using Opera.

thank you everyone whom tried to help me with this problem! ive been doing alot of reading and think ive worked up the "stones" to flash my rom im going to flash to rev.a and see how that works. again thank you for the excellent site :connie_mini_hotairb

i finally flashed my phone. i tried kaos's newest rom (which was awesome) but i couldnt get anything but the phone to work. so i switched to viveto's black pill which i like. i had a problem with *228 so i had to change my spc to all zeros then i got a new prl (01011) from cricket through *228 its evdo and my internet speed has at least doubled (thats nice) i cannot get my sms or mms to work and i cant seem to find a fix i dont know if i should start a new thread to try and fix that so if someone knows that would be greatly appreciated THANX in advance.

well i got my mms to work THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH i think the problem lies in my epst settings. instead of breaking down my phone number like it did before it now breaks down my min i cant figure out why but i cant change it no matter what i do. i guess i can live without my sms. thank you all whom have tried to help me with this never ending problem:viannen_25:

Sky fire does not work with cricket network you need a high speed internet connection, on my mogul it works with wi fi but not with 1x.
