Touch insurance for Diamond
 

So i love my touch, but i was thinking maybe ill get the diamond. if i understand correctly, if i tell sprint something happened to my touch and i use my insurance for a new one and they are all out of stock, i will get a diamond. so hypothetically lets say i do this. also, so now i have both phones, but say i want to switch between using them, how do i do this without having sprint activate each phone whenever i want to switch?

you can't use both phones unless you clone it. and that's another subject

yo bro cloning you can only have one phone on at a time and if they somehow get turned on at the same time sprint can have you arrested and sentenced to over 30 years in prison.... but if you want you can write down the information they tell you to activate the phone and than you can do that each time you switch.... thats what i do :>

and as other threads have said also you wont be able to trade the mogul or the tiuch for the diamond or the pro within the first year since i looked at inventory and they have at least a years worth of refurbs ready to get shipped out.

so if i buy a cdma diamond or other cdma phone off ebay or something, i can call sprint and they will tell me how to activate it?

They will let you activate it no problems, but you should not clone it. when you want to switch phones, you have to activate the other one. Write down your MSL (MASTER SERVICE LOCK CODE) and your MSID (number that is similar to your phone number, possibly identical) and activate it when you want to swap phones. In my case I have tried swapping phones without using snap or calling sprint, by doing dash's method of swapping, and it hasn't worked for me. I think it is because I am trying to go from pda phone (mogul) to flip phone (RAZr V9) and it has to be in sprint's system PDA PHONE or CRAPPY MOTOROLA PHONE. So calling sprint is the best option. I keep hearing a rumor that if you do so many swaps withing a year that they will charge you an activation fee, but that has not happened to me yet, and I have swapped about 15 times or so this year.

before i get myself confused further, when you say use insurance do you mean claim it lost/stolen or what?

no probelm. i do it all the time. or atleast i used to before i got the diamond. i did esn swaps everyday online through the website. no need to call sprint and no need to keep programming. once the codes are in just make sure the other phone is powered off when you do the swap
