Yesterday I took what I thought was a protective cover off my screen(NOW I'M WONDERING IF IT WASNT SUP TO COME OFF). While I was doing this it locked the screen. I couldn't ever get it to unlock. Someone on another site told me I would have to do a hard reset:009: So i did the hard reset. Now the only thing my phone will do is receive incoming calls. It will also let me use the navi button but the screen doent function. Also at the very top of screen nothing is being displayed (battery meeter or windows start). can anyone please give me some hope?!?

sounds like you took the digitizer off of the screen..... time for a new one... i hope that you have insurance since the phone it toast.

Whats a digitizer and which part would it be on the phone? i took off the top part of sreen. no dont have insurance because i bought off ebay and they put a rom in it for cricket service. if it was the digitizer would no part of the screen work because if i touch the bottom right where it says contacts it will bring up the clock and alarm page.

yes the digitizer is what makes the phone respond to the touch.....

you would need to get a new screen and digitizer.... another member just added a new one to his phone this week also because his whole screen went....

ok i just looked at that site and that stuff is not what i took off. there was something on top of that and that was what i took off. should i take it to a place that does phone work and see what i did ...i just dont wanna get scammed... but why would the very top part of the screen not be showing? im talking about the windows start button and the battery meeter.

it was on top of the part that says sprint. the reason i was taking it off was because it looked like something was on it or underneath it. i got the phone off ebay from a guy who has a store in houston and he told me when i got it i didnt have to put a screen cover on it because they already did. i m wondering now if they did. also i tried to call but the store isnt ther because of the hurricane. i thank yall for all of ur input..

I have to agree with Dash it sounds like when you took it off something messed up and I'm 99% sure its the Digitizer.

lol....so basically i have no clue what im doing so i should probably take it somewhere or find some phone smart guy to do it for me

Its like anything just remember what you take off and put it on. Its not hard to put the part in

agreed..... screens on the touch takes me about 10 minutes or so to do.... they arent too bad..... jsut remember and take pics along the way and you will be fine.
