Hey guys i was just wondering if there was somewhere that you can go that will let you up grade the htc touch diamond for the touch pro. im not asking for a free upgrade i know that wont happen but just for a way to get the pro cheaper by sending in the diamond. i didnt know if there was away to do this or not even with other phones thanks for any help

How difficult would it be to go in a corporated store and switch a diamond I activated yesterday for the Pro? I bought the phone off the street, does that matter?

If you take it to the store make sure its a sprint phone and has a clean ESN

Call sprint and have them check the ESN. Just tell them you wanna check before you buy

the lady told me their not gonna make that switch in store cause I didn't buy it there. What should I tell the store when I call and get ready to go... don't wanna blow it.

right. Got it yesterday activated it not enough memory, the store I went to yesterday had the pro and I wanna trade it.

Then just call sprint and do a swap not a big deal.. Just aslong as it has a clean esn you should be fine

Just call sprint don't go to the store IMO and go from there you will be fine. Don't worry unless you stole it or something

Naw no theft...I just talked to the employee and he said cool as long as I got it from a store...just wanna know if they can tell.

not true, they arent going to allow it... the phone has to be purchased from them and than you have 30 days fro mthe purchase date to decide if you like it or not than you can return but not after those 90 days since what he is asking is if he can trade the diamond for the touch pro straight up in the store... i can guarntee that you arent going to find anhy store no matter what you tell them that will make the swap outside of the 30 days.

So i was able to get insurance to get me the touch diamond. They said that they had been getting in trouble for upgrading people to the touch pro from the mogul. So when my diamond comes in, i can take it to the sprint store and have them swap it for a touch pro since its been within the 30 day window?

yes as long as you are within that window and they will make you pay the 50 dollar difference or so also

that dont matter they will laugh at you and tell you that they cant do an even exchange for the phone and that you will have to pay the difference trust me. otherwise they would lose big bucks because everyone would walk in their buying cheap phones and saying that they didnt like it and upgrade a notch up on the list each time.

hm...that sucks. What if I talk to sprint on the phone and tell them that the phone the insurance was sending me was the touch pro? would they be able to hook me up you think?

hey i got my diamond but they wont let me trade it for a pro. 1 because they dont have any and 2, insurance said they will make me have to return the phone to them then pay sprint for the pro. Would something like this letter work for me after the pro gets back in stock?

Hey i had a problem. So i got my diamond through the sprint insurance and today i wanted to swap my diamond for a pro so i went to the store ready to pay the 50 dollar difference and just wait for them to send me the pro. They said that because the order went trough the insurance, sprint doesn't have an invoice for how much i paid so i can't swap for the pro. I talked to sprint then insurance and they said all they can do is put me back into the mogul. should i do that and try and get the upgrade when the pro becomes more readily available? or stick with the diamond and try the email thing? With either option I know i'll have to wait for the pro to be more available. just need a little help. thanks.

i wouldnt trade back you got a good deal... and yes what they told you is true since it is 30 days from when the phone is purchased through them that you can exchange it.... but i would stick with that and try to upgrade from the diamond at a later date...
