Revisiting this thread.....

Wiki shows the Touch Pro has "3.2 megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and flash, .3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling (Unlocked GSM version only.)"

Code:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touch_pro
Any truth to this?

yes the gsm version of the touch pro aka the fuze has a front video camera for video calling but unfortunately the cdma version(sprint/verizon/alltell) does not so while it is theoretically possible to have a video call you would have to have the screen of you TP facing away from you so you would not be able to see the other person...btw please code wrap any outside links using the green spinning cog icon in the reply box

Im pretty sure the fuze doesnt have that. Only the overseas gsm phones. There is no support on anu US carrier for video calling like that.

the only version with the front facing camera is those made overseas in europe and that came sim unlocked from the factory..... none in america that are sold at retail stores or through your service provider will have these..... and no cdma company for that matter either..... ( at least not for a long time by the looks of things.)

well they can with an unlocked phone and the right tweaking to it.... we have vidoe conferencing in america on our sprint phones but you cant see the other person when you are talking to them.... kind of defeats the purpose..... you could always try to use the app and everytime you use it be around a mirror or a window so you could see what was going on hahhaa

Re: video calling

could it be that if you have the phone hooked up to a tv with the camera facing you that it might actually be worth while I meen it would make sense if your doing a video conference call that everyone could just sit back in there chairs watching the tv instead of standing around joe bob looking over his shoulder or playing hey toss me the phone I gotta say something, thats what I figure anyways yeah it makes sense in my perfect little world.:camera:

Re: video calling

I dunno I was just thinking along them lines because it is marketed as a high in buisness phone. Its the only practical way I could see us using this feature on it.

Re: video calling

Re: video calling

That's so funny, I could actually see myself doing that.... Well on the flip side, it is kinda depressing, I think video calling would be pretty sweet. I already can use my phone as a web cam and stream live but video calling would be on another level. Well thanks for your insight D/\sh, I think you're the shhh btw.

What program are you using to use your phone as a webcam?
