Trouble updating my MOGUL RADIO from stock to 34250
 

So I was trying to update just my radio, so I didn't have to reload all my programs. I downloaded the 3.42.50 radio and but the TITAIMG.NBH file onto a 512 sd card that i formatted to fat32. popped the card into my mogul and got to the bootloader screen and nothin happened. I got the olipro 2.40 bootloader. What am I doing wrong, because I was following a tutorial. Thanks hombres.

everything you did sounds correct. but to make sure, to put into bootloader mode you press the power butotn + camera and then push reset button.

Yea thanks tweety! I get to the tricolored bootloader screen and it just says serial at the bottom and nothing happens. I tried two different sd cards and I got the same result. I think a grey screen comes up that says loading before i get to the tricolored screen, but that's only for a split second

make sure you rename it correctly titaimg.nbh make sure everything is done right

maybe the file is corrupt or something, because from what you're saying it sounds like I'm doin everything ok. I guess I'll try another radio version. Thanks though. Btw tweety you are one of the most helpful here on the site :) keep it up

maybe I'm doing something wrong cuz the file is already named titaimg.nbh
I just cut and paste the file to my sd card, I dont have to rename it.

well its been speculated a 512 can't always perform a good flash it might be that your card is too small. you might wanna try doing it through active sync its just as easy as using sd card. you just have to run the .exe from htc site, and if your not wanting to lose anything throw the cab files on your sd card and then just run them, fyi if youve hit the boot loader screen (rainbow screen) you lost your programs. but what i will recommend you to is kaos's take 5 enhanced. its teh sht and you will see it runs a helluva lot faster with more memory then shatty sprint stock roms.

Yea! Thats what I was trying to do, but dont I have to update my radio, before I can load a custom ROM? I was gonna give the mogul manila 2d a shot.

he cant there isnt a exe for jsut the radio...... he could do the whole rom and where did you get htat info on the 512? ive done over 200 phones with a 512 and havent had any troubles



to the user with the problem, try to drag it over the instead of copy and paste, and also be sure it is on your desktop and named TITAIMG.nbh just like that

i dun't remember exactly d/\sh i personally do mine vis usb so i don't know much about storage card flashing, and i think it may have been kaos who always using a minimum 1g to do it. can't remember exactly like i said.

haha yea i dunno what the deal is. Im just gonna flash to the new Sprint stock rom and then to the manila. Someone should do a video tutorial on how to flash, cuz some ppl are visual learners. Just a suggestion. It would probably clear up a bunch of noob questions.

its not actually hard if you want i have apost you can visit.

you just basically do this post once you have the phone unlocked. all you need is the romupdate utility.exe which is in the tutorial zone under flashing roms custom and stock.

Yea I know, this was just my first attempt at flashing via sd. I was just saying a lot of people starting off have problems understanding all the jargon and technical stuff and a vid would probably help. Maybe that's something that I could work on ;)

I believe that people were having problems with class 2 high capacity micro sd cards. IE class 2, 4 gb.

Anyways, be careful when doing this with an sd card. Now it is safer in some ways and not so safe in others. Make sure that your battery has a descent charge, cause if it goes dead during the update, bad things will happen.

I never used a 512 for flashing, but I have used a 64 meg, 256 meg, 1gb and 2 gb for flashing and have never had any problems. Good luck flashing!

anybody found out how to flash radio thru activsync, been trying to flash 342.5 but cant keep getting errors..thnxs in advance

What do you mean through activsync all you have to do is connect then to activsync then run the rom utility update

Are you goin custom or stock is it for your device and make sure your connected to activsync or it wont work
