I found a recent version VGA but I converted to QVGA, you certainly know this software, this version is unlike other tactile versions available to date

first off u need to make sure you have internet connection, if you do, then hit ID song and place your speaker next to or around the speaker where the song is coming out of and then let it analyze and it should recognize, and make sure your instaling the correct version which should be the first link that says qvga

you want to use the qvga like you did.... you dont have a vga device which would be like the touch pro or the diamond.

Ok... this is going to sound like a dumb question, but what exactly is this program supposed to do... i understand its for vga, but after reading the thread I see I can easily find a qvga version, probably somewher on his site. but I'm confused as to what it does, at first I thought it was like a music file converter that could change whatever format you have your songs saved in; into a format that is recognizable and playble by you default media player. But as i read through the thread... I saw broski's comment about playing the music through you speaker and putting your other speaker up to recognize it, or something like that... so scratch my orignal though... now im just lost. So... help me out here?

its all good yo :Smayly_3: haha ok this is like the new iphone app.... and its for both vga an qvga too..... what u do is run the app..... place the mic in front of a speaker and it will look like this

it recognizes almost all published music! so if ur listening to the radio and ur like... hmmm what is this song?? just run this app and under a minute it will tell u what the song is! nifty huh?

Oh sweet... Good looking out legend... Im about to knock off work, so Im definatly gonna download once I get home... as a Dj this app could be real useful... especially if it can list the track that you scan... cuz im always hear track i can add to my librabry or sets, and dont know what they are... it would be sweet especially if it list them so every so often i can the list of recent music i heard and like and cop it somewhere! if not, I can alway just make my own list using my notes app!

yes it will show you all the songs in alibrary that you can purchase later if wanted...... rememebr though to back up the files that store the list before a hard reset or flash since it will revert back tonothing after you do so.

it doesnt go by provider.... according to your profile you have a mogul so youwould want to use the QVGA one.

This app is pretty cool.
by the way, I guess they have something like this for the iphone, so that day my friend (who thinks the iphone is the greatest phone ever made -ignorance is bliss-) took out his iphone and tried to show it off by showing me this app on his iphone. Funny thing is that a second later the look on his face was priceless when I took out my TP and showed him I had it as well! lol.

After 3 days says that I need to subscribe, do you have to pay $3.99 per month to cingular, do you have a fix for this, I use to have the old cab that had the reset icon, can someone help!

yes since it enables and allows you to use the touchscreen and not just the d-pad.

Okay now 2 people have this problem. I got the same thing. I went to ID a song yesterday and it asked me to Pay for it..
I actually thought this was Freeware, because when I downloaded it from this site about a year ago I just installed the CAB and it worked great, I used it all the time. But since I had to reformat my SD card I lost all my CABS. and with the new ROM i needed to redownload everything.

So whats up with that? how come only two of us are having this problem?
I downloaded the VGA version.

im not sure but why not just use midomi... you can even hum the beat to get it to recognize so it doesnt even have to be playing if you somewhat know the beat and can hum

i tried midomi ,, it works when it wants to ... always loads up but sometimes when i push the buttons nothing happens ...

i always did good with shazam .. will keep my eyes open for wvga
