Windows Mobile SMS Sync is freeware which allows a user to backup the SMS messages to their desktop. It includes a desktop application for viewing and searching messages and a Wizard for uploading messages to a SQL server database.
The application works on XP and Vista and with both Windows Mobile 5 and 6. On the handheld it requires .Net CF 3.5
