yeah thats great, i got the same type of deal when i called in and complianed, they agreed to give me 150 upgrade, and then sales was gonna knock off 180, and i would get the rebate for 100, so in end i would end up paying 150, but i am still working on getting it for the swap. the only reason i didnt take that deal is because initially i would have to pay 250 and then wait for Mail in rebat, which she said would take 2 -3 months to be applied to my account, and i still haven had my 100$ rebat applied from when i got my touch in Feb. of 08!!! any ideas on this problem....? im expecting a call back today sometime and its in my notes on sprint account to get an exchange for another model phone and all. so ill let ya guys know what happen.

What all have you done on your end, Also you gotta remember what works for 1 person might not work for another. Call Customer Service and if they don't help you call back till someone you listen to you. Also tell them you don't like being lied to and threaten the BB on them

dash didn't help me get a free pro bro..I bought my own. I also came up with the idea to get a discount as well as the second free.BY MY SELF.Learn how to work sprint.Dash just gave me the poke more or less to attempt my idea....happy he did..Cause my idea worked.

yo i got a free touch pro though. what i did is talk to cancellation dept told them that i was gonna cancel both of my lines and they switched my mogul for the instinct at first then i called back and did the same thing on monday when the pro came out and sure enough i have a free touch pro right in front of me

I was able swap my mogul for touch pro! What I did was called retentions (plz remove the number if not allowed )and explained my situation that i wasn't satisfied with the mogul and that it wasn't meeting my needs and I was considering canceling. He told me that they couldn't do anything since it was past my thirty days. So I told them if there is any other department i could talk to. He told me yes that he would make a case number for me and transferred me to the Escalating Department. There I explained my situation once again and took a little talk to convince them to make the swap.

after a lot of talkingand thank god i had the email from ecare saved because i had to forward it.

You have to be assertive and take no for a answer...Stick to your guns some one will see your side...If they don't hangup try again...lol i spent a hr with ecare tonight trying to get the rebate 100 applied without sending in rebate. Ecare wouldn't budge...so i called retentions. explained i was quoted and bought my touch pro before it was on the site. that i didnt know 100 was a rebate. Nore was i made aware.So he credited me another 100....Now ill send in my rebate and take the 100 as well...giving me 380 dollars off my phone...making it 70 bucks....Dash is a smart dude..all he did was show me the light...you gotta treat sprint like that chick you take out to dinner...keep feeding her drink after drink after drink...when you see your opening Fu** her.I just happened to go back for seconds and thirds...I liked doing her...lol:connie_escapejar:

Wel, got them down to the online price of $299. Aint to bad considering I just renwed my contract only a couple of months ago and I really had no problems to complain about. Hell, I'll take it. Now to sell the mogul. B/T/S section, here I come!

I just received my touch pro monday night and i only got it for $1.04 for the shipping and i have to swap back my mogule but it can be done, peristance is key.Hint!, make sure u tell them all downfalls of your phone(ALL KNOW MOGULE ISSUES) and that you can make a living with out it.

lol u guys are good(kaos,and dashy) but check this....I got two lines with two seperate contracts, the 1st line ended in aug of this yr and i got the $150 rebate with it, then on my second line i have one yr to go plus I got the $75 rebate plus another $75 rebate that sprint had gave me...now for the story...being that im what u call a white glove costumer I simply called retentions and simply gave them my info and said "hello, well as you can see my contract terminated in aug, and i renewed that line 3 times already(6 years with it) and I have $150 off, Im interested in getting two phones and combining my 2nd line which has one yr left and 150 0ff also with the 1st line and making it into a family plan," so he asked which phones and I said "Diamond and LG Lotus, what can you do for me?"...he said "ok hold on" 1 minute later her got back one and said " well mr vasquez we see your a valued customer and have been with us for about 7 years and im gonna give you the deal of a lifetime" lmaooooo, so I said "sure tell me what it is," he said ok" the LG Lotus is 149 with new 2 yr contract and diamond is 249, the LG Lotus is going to be given to you for free and witht he diamond, I will put in the 1st contracts 150 rebate plus your 150 rebate and give you a credit for $50( whats left of two 150 rebates, and throw in a free bluetooth headset for you!!!!!!".......lol all I gotta do is pay for shipping.....10 minutes later im done and a satisfied sprint customer ....I hope you guys enjoyed that story b/c I got some luck today. diamond here I come wooohoooo

i agree i love my diamond and still own it but the pro is the superior phone to the diamond..... i just fill the internal 4 gig way to fast and than cant do anything else.

i believe so dash could better answer this...but all i know is pro has wifi flash for camera more ram keyboard. capable of 32gb sdhc cards when released....shoot with my old 8gb sdhc i have twice you...lol its like before my friend come to the dark side.......bwahhhhhhh:Peek a boo!:

Omfg I miss keyboard!!.. I played with the Touch Pro at this Sprint station in the mall.. Fantastic.. Not at all as huge as the mogul.. Way nicer! I really want a keyboard and that wifi is so temping..
The way I always get things from Sprint is just to tell them my issues and what I want.. I have been with Sprint for like 7 years I think.. I got my Touch fo $30 in the end.. Just had problems that they finally worked out.. Just takes some finessing :)

How do you guys do it. I am still trying to get a Touch Diamond cheaper. But I'll I can do is get it for $350 and when I activated it they will credit me $1000 which will be $250 in total. You guys got some tips I can tell them, I tried a few, but they don't work. Thanks!

What are you upgrading from? If its like the Touch.. Just list off all the problems the Touch has.. Thats what I have been advised to do..

Say you arent happy with it.. You want the Diamond because its a step up and you think the problems will be fixed.. Which they should be..

Tell them that you are very unhappy and you want a clean swap out..

OOOOOORRR you could just brick your phone on purpose and say you want a replacement (only if you have TEP) and that you want the Diamond instead because this shouldnt be happening and you are angry with the phone in general at all the problems (list off)

Yeah I meant $100 lol. Well I tried that already, and they just told me that we are sorry that you are unhappy with your handset...... and that they couldn't do anything about it. That the most they can offer me was the $100 credit. Ohh and I dont have the Touch, I gave that one to my bro and I got a flip phone right now, which of course doesn't compare to the Diamond.

Well, it took me 3 weeks, but Sprint is finally shipping me a FREE Touch pro to replace my stupid Mogul. Actually they are charging me $19.50 and crediting it back to me... so basically FREE.

I have been using another Pro that I bought for about 2 weeks now and love it. If you have a Mogul, I would try to convince them to give you a free swap/upgrade. (Just get 'em to commit.) It is very worth it.

Well, first off I called technical support because I had some issues with my Mogul (big surprise) - the USB port on the bottom was "loose" and so sometimes it would charge and sometimes wouldn't. Also when I was trying to sync, sometimes it would get interrupted and I would lose all my contacts -- which is not good. I also had issues with it locking up when people call and completely missing the calls. I told them I typically had to soft reset 5-10 times a day and was tired of it.

Anyway, I verified that the phone was still under warranty (1 year) and told them that I wanted it replaced with a Touch Pro. I also mentioned that I knew that they were doing this with other people. (Thanks Wckediden!)

It really was easier than I am making it sound -- I barely had to even do any convincing. The only reason that it took so long is because they were out of stock. The KEY is getting someone to commit to doing the swap and noting it on your account. They won't just believe "someone said they will do it" unless you have dates you called and there are notes saying it is so.

There are lots of other things I was going to say (i.e. loyal customer, 4 - soon 5 phones on my plan, etc.) but I really ended up not needing to. At the very worst, they may charge you an $18-30 upgrade fee. Be creative. Good luck.

(Oh, and be nice to them, it helps.)

I just got off the phone with Sprint and the dude actually asked me how much do I wanna pay...I told him I was gettin the rapheal for free with Verizon, so I'll pack up and go. He said look I can't give it to you for free so how much did you want to pay. I told him 250 he said he'll add another instant savings. Will the rebate be in the box or am I stuck out?

Wow man nice! I am gonna try :) I wish something was ACTUALLY wrong with my Touch.. Its in perfect condition except for some scratches and because my mom was holding it and dropped it =\ now it has some scuffs but otherwise it works without a flaw.. so crap..

But my family has been with them for 7 years so I can say that .. Hope that does something.. I am still debating about the diamond or pro.. I dont think I will use the 4gb of internal that fast.. nor do I really need a keyboard but it would be nice =\
Anyways I am not sure what I am gonna say because my phone works perfectly
