Overview: translate text using the Google Translate Engine

Wolf's Translator uses the Google Translate engine to provide translations.
It's a small program I wrote, because I find it useful to be able to translate From/To so many languages at any time and it's much easier to use on the mobile phone than the web-based version of Google Translate.

In order to run the program, .Net Compact Framework 3.5 has to be installed on the device. (if you don't have it, just search google for ".NET Compact Framework 3.5 Redistributable")
Of course, you also need an active Internet Connection.

Currently, the following languages are supported by Google Translate:

- Spanish

- Tagalog
- Ukrainian

Please note that the translations are not always very accurate, but if you have a text in a different language you don't know, it gives you a good idea about what it means in most of the cases.

A nice feature of Google Translate (also present in the application) is the Language Auto Detect feature: you have a text written in I don't know what language, I tell it to translate to English, for example, and it not only translates it, but also shows the language of the source text (try this by checking the Autodetect FROM Language check box).

A feature that right now is missing, but I'm planning to include in a future version is being allowed to save the favourite language pair, so when you open the program it will automatically select your favourite languages.

This program has been tested so far on HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro (VGA) and HTC P3600(Trinity) (QVGA).

LOL, this app is cool. I tried it out on the mogul 6800 with spanish, japanese, german, and arabia. Spanish worked well, Japanese gave me squares across the screen. German worked fine, and arabia 1/2 way worked. Meaning, when it translated the words, it spelled it write, but formated it from left to right. Example, who is he in arabia should look like من هو instead it looked like و ه ن م . So it's spelled right, just going the wrong direction. I have a friend in germany, so I'm going to put this thing to the test and type dirty stuff to see how accurate it is......

this is the error i got when i clicked the download link.......This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.

This limit is reached.

To download this file, the uploader either needs to transfer this file into his/her Collector's Account, or upload the file again. The file can later be moved to a Collector's Account. The uploader just needs to click the delete link of the file to get further information.

hey iceman this is a common problem.... look in the staff area and be sure to upload to my premium account and there wont be the 10 download limit per a link.

Another way to avoid the whole rapidshare situation is to just post the direct download from his googlepages page. Since it is freeware it doesnt really matter. haha updating first post with w0lf's download link.

Hey got the ap to work on my Mogul, does a great job, but since it is a .exe file am having trouble linking it as a program on HTC home, I basically have to go to File Explorer to access the program, any suggestions? thanks

yes I do have a solution...follow these steps below...

copy the executable file>then go to the "my device" within file explorer> now go down to "windows" and click on that> then go down to "start menu" and click> then click on "programs"> now paste that executable we copied in there> once that is done, you can go to htc home and you can go to add an icon and you will see your file we just copied over as one of your choices on the program list...mission accomplished!!!!1

Hey Ice... another great release... appreciate this.... but even beyond this app, the peice of advice... I been racking my brain for a minute tryna figure out how to do that, not just for this app, but for other apps in general.

Is this exe used for windows? Or for Windows mobile? Also the rapid share doesnt work. Can you please upload for direct download for us lazy people.
