really need help

I am an alltel agent with a customer that has a HTC Touch - know very little about this phone except that the customer is on his 5th phone in 9 months and looses all e-mails in log in less than 36 hours. Did all the updates from microsoft and alltel and still an on going problem.

Not a techie - so if you can help ---- please put it in basic english and easy to follow directions.

Thanks to any that can help.

sounds like a time for a hard reset.... have you tried that? it will return the phone back to factory settings and he will lose everything so back up contacts.....

Since it is his 5th phone I don't think a hard reset is in order. Sounds like something is not set correctly on his side.

What email is he using? If he is popping his regular account, it is possible that he is deleting the mail on the server before it can be loaded on his phone or vice versa.

If it's a pop account, he needs to set one to leave mail on the server and the other to leave mail and then remove after a set number of days.

If he has the option of IMAP (like GMAIL for example), then that would actually be the best way to have his email on both the phone and computer.
