USCC Mogul phone upgrade to 61
 

I'm trying to upgrade my USCC Mogul phone to 6.1....I've searched and spent hours reading and I can't unlock my phone and run the RUU_signed.nbh file....I get an error code that says "Error 294 Invalid Vender ID" Cannot be used please check you update utility.

What the heck am I doing wrong. I have Us Cellular and would like to upgrade to Windows 6.1...Can you please help!

didi you look in my signature below and read the tutorial on how to flash? the unlocker link is right in that tutorial for your phone....

Are you upgrading stock rom or custom rom... b/cuz if its basic stock rom, you dont need to unlock it... and you should be able to get the stock 6.1 upgrade from the htc home site or just use the search engine on this site

hes going custom or one from another provider is what it is if he is getting that error..... all he has to do is unlock and he will be straight.

OK I went to the HTC website and tried the upgrade there, but its not working, I get the rainbow screen...says USB...The process appears to be working...then I get the status bar on the phone w/ 0%...then the phone resets and I get the error code that says Invalid Vender ID and it closes down.

That is the file I downloaded to unlock the phone...when it runs it will not recognize the current image version on the phone...it disconnects the active sync and won't pick it up again.

as said many times before (please search) as long as it says usb on the bottom of the screen and not serial you are fine... DONT UNPLUG YOUR PHONE DURING THE UNLOCK AND THE FLASG PROCESS THERE IS NO NEED TO

and the unlocker in the tutorial is linked clear as day for all to see and download so im sure if you got it from under the titan aka mogul area you will be fine :>

OK it finally worked thanks for all the help, Now I have to load my contacts and setup email again, and change the dialer screen....time for a beer. I was worried that the phone wouldn't work with the sprint program but it is. Hopefully it continues!

DASH or anyone... need some help...internet won't connect to US Cellular network. I tried calling them and they couldn't help now that the settings are sprint instead of USCC....what can I do? Thanks

you didnt allow the phone to customize after the first bootup did you? if so you will have to hard reset and do it again and this time reset before the customzations happen....

Maybe you forgot to run the carrier cab? From what i have heard that is needed for data to work. If not just access your EPST and Check to make sure your settings are correct.

I can't get access into my EPST, the password isnt working, I tried some software to get EPST password to populate and it isn't working either....that uses your hex esn....So I can't modify any of the settings.

Still can't get access into the EPST settings, keep getting an error code "cannont connect to DLL." when I loaded the GET_SPC program.

bro its all good that you want help and we want to give it to you or try out hardest to help you out but when you post the same thing over and over and over again on the baoard people get sick of seeing it and just wont answer. but its all good and i will continue to look into this for you as well as many others here at Wckediden.

This is odd to me that u cant access your EPST. I accessed it and i have US Cellular as well. It never asked me for my SPC code and i got to do everything just fine...

hey guys im also on uscc network with a mogul, if i just wanted the stock 6.1 rom off htc's website would i still need to hit cancle when customization happens and then load the uscc cab? and in order to do that would i have to load the cab after i cancle the customization and then do a soft reset?

Ya make sure you are watching your phone and be ready to hit the soft reset button by your SD card slot, you only have 3 seconds to do it. Don't let the customizations run or it'll screw up your phone for good. I mailed mine back to USCC, b/c no one could figure out how to get access into the EPST settings to change them back to the original format of USCC, instead of Sprint. My opinion, forget 6.1, stay with what you have, USCC is supposed to be selling the 6850 this summer. USCC sucks when it comes to updates and GPS capability. Or when your contract is up, get rid of USCC.

you can get rid of the settings of sprints by flashing back to a stock rom.

i dont think uscc has a stock rom image to load, but i was able to load sprints windows mobile 6.1 update and still have not been able to download a full navi prog to try out n see if the new radio and rom allows me to use the gps. i think i might try custom next if it doesnt work.
