Trying To Get the Pro
 

So I am DYING to get the PRO. I have the Crappy instinct right now. I have even been saving my money as much as I can here and there, I got about a 120$ so far. I am curious since I have not had the instinct very long, And I am not under contract, but in all honesty my instict has been acting up. So do I just call customer service and say this is a crappy phone, list some things that are going wrong, and don't take no for an answer and have them send me a pro, because I don't want to extend my contract. Then just send my instinct back? Help on just and Idea, or maybe at least the right direction I need to go with them when I call.

Thanks guys for your help. It is really appriciated....I have gone to many Smartphone websites, like many people. And in my opinion there is no better site, or owners!

i seriouslly doubt that they will trade the instict for a touch pro no matter how much you try IMO, cuz its not even in the same league and the replacement has to be a similar device and they wont give the best ppc available for a java phone, i may be wrong but thats like complaining about your hyundai and demanding a bmw :grrrrrr: if the negotiations fail, you can sell the instinct and combine that money with the 120 you have and see if you can buy one at ebay or somewhere else

yeah and they arent even doing trades up to the touch pro.... basically not even mogul or touch users will get the touch pro or the diamond since too many people were doing it they had to say no from now on too anyone and everyone :< but the touch and the mogul are going on the retired list in the near future too........ like mike said i would get the instinct replaced with a new one and than sell that brand new in box on ebay and than once you do that see how much you got to put forward to a TP

Alright I will do that, and hopefully get some thing out of it. Cause man, having the mogul and then going to the instinct sucksss.. I just did it to have a newer phone, so that when the pro came out, and I sold my instinct on Ebay i would get the most for it towards a TP. And then I saw what you guys were shooting for, and thought I would ask.

What is the retentions Dept? if I may ask.

retentions department is the area that deals with unsatisfied customers... basically the people in the retentions department do almost whatever it takes to keep you as a customer....... the more lines, phones, years that you have eben with them the better the chance that you will get what you want through them..... sicne you mentioned that i feel that you have read through what some people have got from retention :> am i correct?

Yes you are correct. I am thinking about giving it a try and saying I have had all these phones (mogul, Touch, Palm, Instinct) and they are all not up to bar, I am sick of this, I run a business, and need a smartphone that can keep up with me, blah blah blah, and see what happens. Who knows.

So how do you get the retention dept.? Do you get transfered there or what?

dial *2 and than at the prompt say cancle and that will bring you to them..... but trust me i work corporate you arent going to get anywehre unless someone wants to get fired lmfao.

Crap, Crap, Crap. I called Sprint Sat. (11/22) to complain that the refurb mogul they sent me was defective also. So they said they would send out another. So now I will be the last to receive a refurb mogul? Crap, crap, crap!

Maybe if I had Dash's luck, I'll be surprised with a TP when I open that box. Oh who am I kidding? lol

HAHAHAH! Ok DASH get this! So I call in like 4 times complaining about all the crappy phones I have had etc etc. And on the fourth girl she says ok, well they are back ordered but I will put in an order for you! I got the email conformation and everything! haha it actually worked!
