Full Screen CallerID (WITHOUT installing any program!)

As we all know the default CallerID sucks!

Why installing a heavy footprint application (with many other useless functions) if at the end all we need is a decent Full Screen CallerID?

By following a few easy steps (the rar includes a clear Readme file) you can enjoy a skinnable full screen callerID WITHOUT installing any program!

(Note: Tested on several devices and it works!!!)

Hey that second pic. those are the settings of the Caller ID thingy?? cuz i couldnt find those settings on my phone... also, I tried to run the caller ID program to look for those settings in it and It wont run, maybe it doesnt work on the HTC 5800?? =(

ok check it out. Wckediden.com is the shit and i've learned to do alot of things. but there's one thing that i can't figure out. i even tired searching threads to see if anyone explains how it's done(what i'm trying to do) but i couldn't find anything. so my problem is, i don't know how to work rar files or downloads. when i download them to my phone and try opening one up, my phone says i have no application associated with what ever program i'm trying to install. can someone please help me with a step by step on how to fix this. PLEASE!!! then maybe i can get this full screen caller id working for me. thanx again guys.

U could just extrac the rar files in ur pc, and then, the content of the rar upload it into ur cell, and i think there is an app to do that insed ur cell, its called pocketRAR or something,

click on my name and than look through the tabs until you come to one with a yellow animated picture.... look under the picture at the links and read the noob guide and that will explain everything for you... :>

Yo this works GREAT on my PRO! I never thought that such a damanding neeed was such an easy fix. I have been looking for something like this for the longest and S2U2 was freezing and acting up all the time on my PRO and this was riculiously easy to make happen! D/\sH Greeat great find.!! Thanks.

Ok, maybe I am slow but after going over the read me file I am still lost. It says you are to copy the first folder in Windows, and the second folder windows-start menu-programs and so on... But where do I find these locations??? I can find the device-program files and the storage card-program files locations with no problem...It's just the first 3 I do not know how to get to. Thanks

the windows folder is on the main page of the file explorer under program files, my documents, etc.

yes you do every windows phone with every provider does...... thats like saying that your version of windows vista ultimate doesnt have the start menu because it is ultimate.

Bro, this is not right. You actually got my hopes up. This is simplt Inesoft Address Book and its caller ID. Sure you didn't "install" a program but simply made a rar with all the components in it! I am using Inesoft now for my caller ID and wanted to get rid of it as it uses like 1 MB and I don't want to waste the runtime memory, but like the full screen caller ID. Your topic was misleading and made me think I found what I was looking for. Kind of shady really, given that it is commercial, paid software.

Does anyone else know of a light alternative to Photo Contacts Pro or Inesoft?

how is it shady? your the only one to ***** so if you dont like it and are gonna be a baby about it than dont day anything..... many people are thankful for this.... so if you dont like it and are gonna be making false statements than just keep them to yourself.

Really? Your topic states "WITHOUT installing any programs". That's not true and what's worse is that you are copying the components from a commercial program. This is not a tutorial. You did not teach us anything other than how to steal. I was honestly hoping for instructions on how I could get larger caller ID with the stock software. I like the Inesoft program, but don't want to use the 1MB it requires. If I could get the picture larger on the stock ID and dialer screens that would have been perfect. The bottom line is that I got really excited when google lead me to your tutorial and then I was disappointed after signing up and downloading your rar with the bootlegged Inesfot files.

hey i keep gettin "file address book cannot be opened" i got all copied and this is what i get when i try to start the callerID

I get the exact same thing as aristo94. but i dont have a storage card-program files location. i searched thru my whole storage card and i couldnt find it. Files 1-4 were placed where they belong but idk what to do wit #5. any help please?

It's not on my Alltel Touch Pro. I don't see a Windows folder anywhere on the device. Is it possible that Alltel has made it invisible?

you would have to unhide it through activesync... or you can just go to file explorer and you will see it in the root of the main memory.

are people having to copy these files to the card then putting the files into the correct places from the file explorer? when i try to copy the files with my pc the "windows" folder doesnt show up. and when i try to put the fiels on with resco file explorer some of the files dont show up. any ideas?

While in resco in the folder, press and hold and then check "show all files" on the menu that pops up:)

I'm trying to install on my Diamond, but the second file isnt shows up in the program menu, but it appears as blue and white blank folder and not an Icon...Any Help please?

When I try to do this, it gives me an error of: Cannot copy file 'InePimUtil.dll'. Your ZIP/RAR file may be corrupt.

Can anyone help?

I have been trying to make this work on my Pro and I am having some trouble.
1. Am I right in thinking that I have to create some of the folders that these files need to be copied to?
2. I cant seem to get the 2 files that need to go into the windows folder to work properly. I cant seem to transfer both of them to my Pro. I keep getting a prompt that says I already have it in the folder so I have to replace the file. when I click yes nothing shows to in the folder on my Pro

you have to use an app like resco file explorer or total commander to overwrite the files.

i keep getting the adress book cannot be opened. something about not signed with a trusted certificate, or one or more components cannot be found. i installed like you said and reinstalled. any help? please...thanx

Ok! I played with it and now i'm at the point where it tells me to copy in location indicated. but when i tap and hold it tells me to extract, and when i do that and highlight windows and click "ok" it say put in the password again. Now, is this correct or am i in the wrong place. I do see 1-5 files. I just want to be sure i'm doing the right thing so i won't mess up my nice phone that i love.
