Does buying the HTC Pro (cdma) from different carrier make a difference
 

Hello,

I dont know if this is just bull but from what I've read is that CDMA Pro from Sprint is crap (i guess something well they take shortcuts and have bull programs or functions not so well....DONT SHOOT ME ON THIS...I'm just asking :P)

So I'm with a CDMA carrier in Canada and its insanely expensive for a pro here out front (1 year contract is still like 500 hundred and there is no way i'm going to make a 3 year deal with satan phone carrier)

So I'm not too sure what CDMA carrier in the us are but does it make a difference?? and if I was just change the phone up does it matter at all??

your nuts sprints pro kicks ass..its these roms that suck...but all about to change...

the cdma pro you may be talking about is the verizon model, it sucks so bad i wouldnt give my mogul for it. Less ram, no accelerometer....sounds like a pretty mogul to me :whisper:

Well I just recently was given a summary of what a "rom" is so I'm pretty sure that's what I've heard that "sucks" about the sprint/verizon pro is probably related to the ROM.....

all will change with in 24hrs my custom pro rom drops....at least to select testers..

I would love to be one of the testers but...I dont even have the PRO yet....I guess I better start looking...........(dreading the fact that when I do get it all the reading and "playing" around I'll have to do to mod it up"

Also just another question. Is the PRO compatible/runs smoothly with a CLASS 6 memory card?

it really depends more on whether or not the memory card is SD or SDHC. Both are compatable but SD is preferable. You may need a .cab fix file for it to recognize the extra storage capabilities of the card but it should work all the same. If you want to use the card I would suggest first formatting the card from FAT32 to FAT. This will better allow you to repair any file that my become corrupt and will also better allow you to utilize card tools such as defragmentation programming. The only thing that CLASS 6 means is that "CLASS" is just a classification rating system given to storage discs to rate the speed in which they are capable of tranfering data. CLASS 6 means that it transfers at an average rate of 0.9 MB/s. First things first though. You may want to worry about that AFTER you actually have purchased and are in ownership of the TouchPro.

LOL good point. I've just purchased it and now just have to wait to get my phone. Then the mass flood of questions should arrive from me.. but thank you for the explanation

no questions just flash my rom...all hacks tweaks and customization for pro is built...in....dropping to beta today...maybe released today depending on whats found..
