Bluetooth Dial-up
I tried searching for this answer and I couldn't find one that specifically answered it. I thought I would ask it to calm any minds out there including mines.
At the moment I have a Vogue that has no service on it and a TD that does. I decided to play around with both and bridged them both via bluetooth. An option the Vogue gave me was Dialup Networking. I connected it to the TD and it ran flawlessly. What freaked me out was that my TD did not show an active data connection (comm manager said Data was off). Will Sprint notice that I'm dialing out to internet? I didn't even setup Internet Sharing on my TD to Bluetooth PAN, its still set to USB. I'm guessing that as long as it "dials out" it doesnt need internet sharing to..well, share true internet. I don't know. Can anyone shed any light? The way I set it up on the Vogue was .. the name "My Connection," its modem is bluetooth, it dials out to #777, no username or pass or domain. I opened PIE and I hit connect. The TD showed no signs of Data trans on the Comm Manager. Only Bluetooth was on my TD. The Vogue uses WDM's Manilla ROM and I am on the Juggalo TD ROM, not stock atm. |

Re: Bluetooth Dial-up
Ooooo, I wonder if anyone has done this a lot before and knows some insight on it. 'Til then I'm not doing it anymore. LOL. I can't let Sprint catch up on me cause then they might question why I burn so many gigs on the regular ;x
When I found out I could bridge phones like that, I had an evil plan to use Skype and my vogue together. Ha. |
