Mogul ROM Issue- Not activating
 

So i Flashed my mogul's ROM to I believe like 5561 or something like that and it was fantastic let me tell you. Well in my dire attempts to get th TP I sold it on Ebay and it would not activate for the buyer. Now is this something that is a dumb question and everyone knows that when you put a custom ROM on your phone it will only work with that number that is on the phone at that time?...

So if that is the case, and I do want to sell it again do I just need to load the original Mogul ROM on there? And do I have to do the re-locker file to bring it back to the original ROM? That way it is still be unlocked.....

for warranty purposes, i would flash the stock ROM and relock because the person may have nooo idea what flashing a ROM is... also, is your account clear, bills paid and new phone activated??

Yes everything is good why?

And you might know this too. Can I put say a Verizon ROM, or Alltel ROM and a CDMA phone such as the mogul and have it work on there network? Got a buddy who might want it.

well it might not be activatable (a word?) if it's a bad ESN, not having paid bills, etc. yes you can flash the mogul to other carriers and it is discussed in here so search around. you just have to tweak certain things. idk bout custom ROMs locking in the phone number

So re putting the original sprint ROM on there should allow it to be activated like normal?

if the ESN is clear, that should work. also relock it first, then activate

So I need to put RUU just like you would do with a custom flash, and then run the relocker.exe and it will automatically relock it? Just kind of want to make sure I do it right the first time.

you would need to relock the device and than flash back to the stock rom..... and for the other it wouldnt activate for the mere fact that aftermarket dialers do not allow one to use the ## codes to activate the phone

ok. So you cannot then flash to an after market ROM and say reactivate it on another line then.

So I have Vista 64bit and it says the Relocker is not compatible with 64bit. Is there a diff. one out there?

no there is only u can flash over to a rom that uses a dialer that will allow the codes..... just test before you send out

O Ok. What would you recommend for a dialer that can use the codes because that would be way better, and just dandy.

That way i don't have to go back to the old rom, etc.

as just said in my last post no there isnt a different unlocker out there...... and dialer wise the best is to go stock or some chefs will tell you if theres supports ## codes..... many are made supporting this now.

Thats my main question I guess, do you know of any chefs out there that made a custom one out there that supports ## codes, and that you might recommend?

Maybe I am not getting what you are saying about that unlocker. Does that affect anything beyond just unlocking the phone?

if you dont relock the phone and run on a stock rom it can cause errors down the road. and there is quite a few ask in the threads of the rom and the developers would be happy to tell you.

I believe all of kaos' roms support the ## codes. he only uses the bluefrog dialer on his roms.

I thank you for that. I actually got it all worked out. I just went and did the relocker on my xp computer that way it would work, and just did the newest sprint ROM to just take it back to normal to be able to sell. Don't want to wait any longer haha.
