Need some help beating a friend
 

What's up everybody, I have the htc 6800, my friend just bought an Iphone. I wanna be able to do ALL the stuff that he can do plus many other things. I am not a person that knows all the computer lingo, so I need the "dumb jock" versions if possible. I am a competitive person and I know that my choice in buying this phone was wiser than his buying that expensive Iphone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, it is an alltel phone.

IMO I'm not an iphone fan. I can do so much more with my touch pro than any Iphone out there. Best thing I can tell you is to search and read those are your 2 best friends right now. Follow my sig and it will show you the basics have fun here.

there is alot out there that can turn your mogul to a iphone killer Imo , saw a iphone theme for WAD2 (wisbar advanced desktop2) on here a while back that looked sweet, also here is something to get you started, ifonz is ok too,

I was told something when I 1st came here and it kinda stuck with me. I asked about a iphone theme and the 1st post I got back was if you wanna iphone theme get an Iphone. once again I'm glad they said that to me because there are alot better theme and options out there for the htc phones

yeah... get familiar with the green search bar up top. But definatly check out ifonz, s2u(slide to unlock) oh and there is a really great app called am music for windows mobile devices which is just like the new iphone app they've been advertising on commercials which allows your phone to listen to music being played, identify the tracks and and tell you where you can get/buy em... they're a ton of great apps... and quite honestly you may also want to think about geting apps, programs, games, etc and just overall features that the iphone can't even dream of doing, in order to shut your friend down, instead of making it just a strait up iphone clone... just my two cents... have fun on the site man... see yah around!

good call on that ... the ppc and iphone are 2 different animals... if you want an iphone then get one... but if you want somthing customizable with more programs and better features then you bought right... there is tons of things you can do... but i had the mogul for 8 months before switching to the tp so here is a short list of what i was running b4 the change... of course alot was just preference: music id, htc home, rltoday, both of these were on my (ultimate launch) program, swcked mobile shell was nice also diamond theme of course, but i switched it to touchflo 2d as soon as it came out... also enjoyed palringo for instant messaging. there was more but thats a start for your search

dude if you want to put an iphone to shame, dont imitate the iphone otherwise you are proving that its the better device. you have to show something better and different than him.

try this... interface (manila2d with a kick ass theme, smooth more productive and better looking than just......buttons)

internet browser (skyfire jajaja safari dont stand a chance, invite him to see a myspace profile on his and then you go to the same one on yours, yours will have the music and videos playing on the browser and his will just be ashamed)

wmwifirouter, he can pick up hotspots and so can you, but ask him if he can BECOME a hotspot so other devices and even his iphone can connect thanx to you

theres a lot more that the 6800 can do, but i use those three to shut them up quicker than they can take the iphone out of their pocket, search around the site cuz there is a whole lot more you can show off without having to imitate him

make it your own. modding is somethignt at you cant jsut rush into.... you have to take time to research hat you are doign than from there you will be fine...... also if you look at my youtube videos under the name iamdasht19 you will find many names of apps and apps and how they work through the videos :>

Yep pretty much what Mike said. We can do so much more on our phones than iphone people can. I remember shutting up my iphone loving friend with wmwifirouter ....lol....anything his iphone can do my mogul and now my TP can do better! We dont have to worry about apple (big brother) approving or rejecting apps.
