Question about housing for htc
 
wassup yall i basically want some opinions on this! i have a few minor dings on my original htc touch black housing! very minor! soo i was searchin on ebay and found this looks pretty hot in white very much my taste! my question is how safe is removing the orginial housing and replacing it! its by HTC so i feel safer

ok thats not oem so it will crack, scratch, and get chewed up and knicked easily... i wouldnt pay more than 5 bucks for that version myself.... and it isnt too hard to tell the truth but it does void all warrenty and insurance claims through your provider unless you claim through insurance like asurion.

o wow , thanks for the heads up, it looked legit 2 me, but i wouldnt want it crackin and all that mess on me, i will reconsider

yeah it says htc but it doesnt have a service provider name on the shell and without that its not oem... and if you notice in the auction also he doesnt add that it is oem and non oem stuff from ebay can never be trusted unless it is a brand that you have used before like seidio.

thanks i wasnt aware of all the oem stuff, and i will look out for the sprint logo, i am still interested in a new housin juss 2 keep it fresh but im taken another turn

you odnt need it to say sprint.... you would need it to say sprint, alltel, verizon, bell, etc...... any cdma version would work. and look in the auctions for it to say cdma oem.

i actually found one that says htc where the sprint goes, wud dat do? this doesnt have 2 b permanant and i dont plan on scratchin it, my touch only got dings becuase some hoe yanked my arm while i was taken pix wit it and it fell lol

also is a hard reset required after installation?

post the links here and i will look and tell you if it is oem or not.... the non oem ones are garbage as said before and will not only feel really weak but will crack and discolor easily.

even though its from hong kong i read through the listing and the user said it was taken straight form a phone so on that one you should be straight because of course all phones come with the oem housings.
