Here's a pretty simple app to make tour start menu larger. I installed it on the device. Got it from

Makes your Start menu bigger and more finger touch friendly. Just download and install both .CAB files(both are in the .zip attachement), Soft Reset your device. To Activate/Deactivate this start menu go to /Settings/Personal/Large Start Menu.
