01/13/09 - I hope you enjoy this newest update. It doesn't have all the features I hoped to have by this time but it's a step in the right direction. I am going to try and have more regular updates in the future.

This program is a touch driver to handle the touchscreen presses and vibration. A settings program exists to configure how the vibration works.

Since this is a touch driver, there is no program you need to run to start it.

It has been tested on an HTC Touch and HTC Touch Pro for several days with several stability issues corrected. I am only releasing this now that I feel comfortable that you will experience no major issues. However, I cannot guarantee that it will work flawless for you. I cannot be held responsible for any loss of data or time you may experience while using this.

If you are experiencing problems after installation, please let me know so I can fix these issues.

Known Issues

• May or may not play well with touchflo/ftouchsl. If TouchResponse isn't working for you, try disabling those if they are enabled.

Questions and Answers
Q. How to I change the settings?
A. Start->Settings->System->TouchResponse Settings

Q. Why is it not vibrating when I touch the screen?
A. Go to the Device tab in TouchResponse Settings. It will display information about your device. If it says to select your vibrate id then find the one that causes the vibrate to work. Send me a PM with the name of your device model along with the vibrate id that works for you and I will incorporate that into future releases.

Q. Will this drain my battery life?
A. I don't have any statistics to show the before and after battery usage. However, I personally have not experienced any significant increase in battery usage. It all depends on how long the vibrate duration is and how often you touch the screen.

Q. Why does the vibrate last longer than it's supposed to sometimes?
A. This should hopefully be resolved as of version .02.2. If you experience this after this version, please let me know when it happens and how often.

Q. Why is the vibration always the same duration no matter what the settings are set at?
A. Use a registry editor to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>OEM>VIB and set STRENGTH_LOW to 0.

did you install the cab and soft reset after you were done installing it? also please read the first couple small paragraphs and you will find the answer to what it tells you to do.

yo man.it still isnt working.when i try to install it,it sends me to a bunch of junk,i downloaded it and saved it to my phone but it doesnt work.plz help me figue out whats the problem

what do you mean it sends you to a bunch of junk? you need to be specific since no one here can read minds or what your phone says for you..... what junk did it bring you too? what did it say? what type of files?

ok so i download it to my phone.go to fille explorer. and there are 1 setup,4 that say touch 1,and 1 that syas touch 2.when i click setup it goes to the internet and says me%20documents/my%20.then if i click one of the touch ones it says "there is no application associated with touchr~1. run the application first,the open this file from within the application."

umm this is a cab file. all you have to do is click on the file and it automatically installs, it asks where you want to install it, device or card, and pick card, soft reset done. i dont fully understand how you see all the other files in the cab????

umm bro where ALL here to help you, and dash has explained it a bunch of times i see, you must be doing someting wrong. place the entire cab in your device via activesync. i'd place it in your sd card. then using file explorer doupke tap on the cab and let it run, click on device when promtped to selct where to install. and soft reset, dash & anyother staff and members will tell you the same thing bro.

you prolly opened the cab file expoising the xml and its components thust explaining the setup file and the others. just download the file AS IS, tranfer to your device, and click on it with file explorer on your device. it should install by itself

it still isnt workining.i am downloading it from my computer.saving it to winRAR.then i send it to my phone.but it dosent work.i have a sprint htc touch. i appreciate you guys help

ok no need to double post, but why are you saving to winrar? this is a cab file bro, i explained it, sorry to sound like a d*ck but really it is so simple and it doesnt even sound like your readin our posts. just drag the cab on to your device via activesync. drag it to your sd card. use file explorer and DOUBLE click on the cab. it will the SELF EXTRACT and ask you where to save it. CLICK on DEVICE and after it installs soft reset.

your phone....you only use your computer to put the cab file in the phone. then after that you can unplug your phone from the computer.

the confusing thing about downloading cabs in the pc is that it cant recognize the format and uses winrar to open the file thust tearing apart the cab

just pass it to your device as a "winrar" format and notice that the device will see it as a cab file that you can install the app with

just drag the entire file that downloads into the phone, dont open it up with winrar, dont try to change it formatt, just drag the entire file into the phone.

same way you drag files from on folder to another on a pc. when you are connected to activesync you can open up folders in your phone, with the touchresponse cab you click on it and hold, and drag it to your desired location on device and let go.

well i dont know what else to tell ya, this is by far the easiest installation you can come across and i've explained it the simplest i could. tell me exactly how your doin it and i'll see what your doin wrong.

1.find the cab
2.right click to download it
3.it finished downloading
4.it says i have to save it to some thing on my computer(ex:winRAR,firefox)
5.save it to my computer
6.find it.and click copy
7.go to my computer
8.find my mobile device and save it
9.go on my phone and go to file explore
10.find it but it has stuff like setup and touchr 1 and touchr2

for some reason i find it hard to do cab files but easy to do the others

This happens to me sometimes when I try and download a cab to my pc. Its cause winrar extracts the files inside the cab when you try and move it. Just download it from your phone and the cab will install.

Aight Traviefresh.... you pm'ed me a few days ago for help with this... Sorry I didnt get back to you... been a lil busy... but I figured you'd get all the help you needed within the appropriate thread...

It soundns to me, like Shownuff was right... your opening the cab file after its already been downloaded and saved to your computer. basically all you really have to do is drag and drop as TaylorSpj was trying to explain to you in earlier post... but since your having technical difficulties with that...

you simplest solution would be to use your phones browser to come to this thread, and download directly to your storage card... once you do that... go to it using your 'file explorer' and click it to activate, once u do that, itll ask you to choose the location to install (i.e. your device or storage card)...since its a driver your going to want to install it on your 'device'... follow any instructions on your phone screen and your good to go...

Once its installed youll be able to find it under start menu> setting> touch response ... set it up how u like and whalla... you now have vibrating functions

just an fyi bro, there are thousands of sweet apps for your phone here at Wckediden and they are all a matter of personal preferences you just gotta search and try things out for yourself...plus pm's for support are not allowed...the best way to find sweet apps is to click on "unread posts" and see what people are posting, usually the more posts a thread has the more people are using something and that is usually a pretty sweet app.
