Cant flash PPC6800
 

I have taken my mogul's to 2 different revol stores to get them flashed from sprint to revol. According to the guys in the stores for some reason they cant get houdini to recognize my phones they only turn up as generic smartphone drivers when plugged in?? I dont think it is a problem with the phones because one is less than a week out of the box. Has anyone else had this problem?? I have scoured the net for the revol rom to try to flash it myself with something other than houdini. Im kinda stuck here since i already cancelled my sprint service. ANy help at all would be greatly appreciated.

LMAO... dude that sucks, seriously... but whats revol; Im assuming some network provider I never heard of... and houdini? whats that? some sort of sync proram for your device?

Houdini is a program that the smaller cell providers use to flash handsets. Revol is a regional provider that that offer unlimited minutes and text for 74 bucks a month for 2 lines.

Hmmm, not sure how much help you will get, as i've never really heard of either of those... the only thing i can suggest it that, coming from sprint you device is the CDMA version, and if this 'revol' is a gsm network, you may have a problem getting it to work with them... but you may have to wait for an expert like D/\sh or someone who knows a lil more about them...

If it is a GSM provider tho, your gonna want to go and check the boards over at XDA DEVELOPERS... they would probably be able to help you more as they specialize with roms and setups for GSM network, and then come back here for all ur apps and other ppc needs!

easy the guy is being stupid. tell him what he has to do is install activesync if they use vista or mobile device center if they use vista and that will allow the driver updates that are needed and than allow him to flash the phone over to their serivce.
