Screen Scratches
Hey guys, i bought my touch pro GSM off of someone i found on kijiji. And the guy totally ****ed me. Didn't even notice it until he sold it to me and drove away. The screen had a bunch of scratches on it. So i've been trying to make due with it. But being the perfectionist that i am, its starting to really really bug me. Is there a way i can replace the screen?
Thanks :) --------- New Post Merged on 21/1/2009 at 11:30:38 -------- I guess i was a bit naive, i trusted some random person who told me it was in "mint" condition. this guy pretty much waved the phone infront of me it look perfectly fine in the sunlight at the time. he told me the screen protector was on the entire time. Guess i was a bit mesmerized by the phone, and excited to finally get it to check it thoroughly. It was my fault, but damn this guy totally lied to me and screwed me outta a lot of cash. I really hope i can fix this somehow it really is starting to bug me. (Sorry couldn't find how to edit post) |
Re: Screen Scratches
If I were you I would just wait it out for a month or so and then make an insurance claim....pay $50 and say that you lost it. Then you could use that one as a test phone or something. I think that replacing the screen would be much more of a hassel

1. toothpaste and kleenex..... take the toothpaste and apply it with a cuetip and than once you do that take the kleenex and buff the screen where the scratches are with the toothpaste.... the toothpaste acts as a buffing compund to make the scratches on the screen even smaller (just like with paint on a vehicle.)(scratches in tha pint (fine) is what makes it shine) 2. go to your local autozone or car maintenance shop and you will find headlight repair solution... basically all this is used for is to take the scratches out of the headlight lenses..... just apply as the directions state and rub lightly on the screen since it is more sensative and prone too scratches... one of the two will work for ure and the only phone of mine that i scratched the screen on didnt work with the toothpaste but passed with flying colors when it came to this way :> good luck and let me know how it works out for you :connie_mykilroy: |

Re: Screen Scratches
K so, i tried toothpaste last night, did not really work, i think these scratches are quite deep for it to work. I'll give the headlight thing a try. Dunno if toothpaste type matters, but if anyone wants to try it themselves.. don't try with Colgate Cavity Protection :) Doesn't work. It doesn't ruin anything either, still as responsive as ever, like Dash said earlier.
Thanks :) |
